INFORMACIÓN GENERAL
Gama de fácil instalación para la protección de líneas
telefónicas en formato enchufable a regletas de
distribución interrumpibles. La gama KPL1 está
especialmente diseñada para ser compatible con las
regletas del sistema KRONE, esta gama está compuesta
por los modelos KPL1 SG compuesto de una protección
secundaria y de sobrecorriente y el modelo KPL1 CG
compuesto por una protección combinada multiescalón
(Primaria + secundaria + sobrecorriente). Disponen de un
terminal trasero para la verificación de estado de Línea
GENERAL INFORMATION
Easy to be installed series for the protection of telephone
lines in plug-in format, The serie KPL1 is specially
designed to be compatible with the desconnect strips of
the KRONE system, this serie is composed by the
models KPL1 SG composed by a secondary and
overcurrent protection and the model KPL1 CG composed
by a combined protection multistep (Primary + secondary
+ overcurrent protection). The protector has a back
terminal for checking the Line state
FUNCIONAMIENTO
Los protectores permiten derivar a tierra las
sobretensiones procedentes del cable telefónico hacia el
equipo, tanto entre líneas (modo diferencial) como entre
líneas y PE (modo común), ofreciendo un elevado grado
de protección a la instalación.
OPERATION
The protectors allow to derive to the earth the overvoltage
induced on the communication cable towards the
equipment, both between the lines (differential mode) and
between the lines and PE (common mode), offering a high
level of the protection to the installation.
El dispositivo KPL1 CG actúa con diferentes etapas de
descarga adecuadamente coordinadas según el nivel de
energía a derivar, consiguiendo con ello una adecuada
rapidez de respuesta y un gran poder de descarga.
The device KPL1 CG acts on different steps of the
discharge, properly coordinated according to the energy
level to be derived, obtaining in this way an adequate
response speed and a high discharge power.
El dispositivo KPL1 SG actúa con una etapa de descarga
de tecnología MOV consiguiendo con ello una adecuada
rapidez de respuesta y poder de descarga, este protector
puede combinarse con protectores Primarios para
conseguir una protección completa y eficaz.
The device KPL1 SG acts with a stage of technology MOV
obtaining in this way an adequate response and discharge
power, this protector can combine with first level protectors
to obtain a complete and effective protection.
INSTALACIÓN
Los productos de la gama KPL1 están pensados para la
protección de cualquier equipo conectado a una línea
telefónica, sin necesidad de realizar ninguna modificación
en la instalación existente.
Instale el protector KPL en la regleta que esté más
cercana a los equipos a proteger.
La instalación del KPL no requiere ningún cableado (la
regleta Krone ya está cableada con los cables
telefónicos). Se inserta el producto en la interconexión de
la propia regleta, insertándose al mismo tiempo en la barra
de tierra también de la propia regleta. Ver figura de
instalación.
La conexión equipotencial se realiza con el carril de toma
de tierra para regletas interrumpibles .
Los productos de la gama KPL1 deben conectarse a la
toma de tierra de la instalación para su correcto
funcionamiento.
INSTALLATION
The products of the KPL1 series are designed to protect any
type of equipment connected to the telephone line, without
perform any modifications within the existing installation.
Install the protector KPL into the disconnect strips of Krone
system which is located as near of the equipments as better.
The KPL's installation does not required any cable
connection (the disconnect strip of krone is already
connected). Insert the product into the interconnection of
the disconnect strip. At the same time, the KPL is connected
to the equipotencial bounding. See instalation figure.
OBSERVACIÓN
Los modulos de protección KPL1 no pueden utilizarse en
combinación con las regletas de conexión. Estas
presentan frente a las regletas interrumpibles contactos
de paso fijo sin función de conmutación.
NOTE
The KPL1 protection modules may not be used in
conjunction with connection strips. Unlike the disconnect
strips, these have fixed feed-through contacts without a
switching function.
MANTENIMIENTO
En el caso de que el protector llegue a final de vida,
quedará cortocircuitado impidiendo la comunicación y
protegiendo así los equipos. Si el protector se extrae de la
regleta krone, la comunicación se restablecerá pero los
equipos no estarán protegidos. Para un correcto
funcionamiento, se ha de sustituir el producto por un KPL
nuevo.
MAINTENANCE
In case of end-of-life of the KPL, it will be shortcircuited
provoquing the interruption of the communication but the
equipments will be under protection. If the KPL is
umplugged from the krone sockets, the communication will
be reestablished but the equipment are in danger to be
damaged in case of a new surge. To proceed correctly, the
replacement of the equipment is required.
Connection to the equipotential bonding is made with the
grounded rail for disconnect strip.
The products of the KPL1 series must be connected to the
earth outlet of the installation for their correct operation.

Connection to an earthing system is essential for a proper operation of the protection.
