Objetivos
Ofrecer orientación a los docentes que por primera vez dictarán clases de inglés en nivel inicial o
primeros grados.
Descripción
This course has been designed to help teachers who may be embarking on teaching primary
English for the first time. The prospect of choosing course materials, preparing a teaching
programme, delivering classes, evaluating students and dealing with day-to-day problems in
the classroom may seem initially daunting. The aim of this course is to help teachers make
their teaching year both easier to manage and more enjoyable for both teachers and students.
Si entendemos enseñar y aprender como las dos caras de una misma moneda, veremos que
saber cómo aprenden nuestros alumnos es saber cómo enseñarles de la mejor manera.
Enseñar inglés en los primeros niveles de enseñanza, elegir el material, además de resolver la
problemática diaria del aula puede parecer una tarea llena de obstáculos. El objetivo de este
curso-taller es brindar pautas para que la selección del material y la de las actividades a
realizar hagan de esta tarea de enseñar inglés una experiencia positiva tanto para maestros
como para los alumnos.
Contenidos
MODULE I:
Basic Teaching Procedures: if we think of teaching as the other side of learning, then by
trying to understand better how children learn we will have more understanding of how to
teach them.
Running an efficient class:
• Resources and activities.
• Choosing and understanding course materials.
• Class dynamics
MODULE II:
Dealing with correcting and testing:
• Correction and evaluation techniques.
• Continuous assessment and tests.
• Encouraging the learning process: giving positive feedback.
