packet of information that will help you and your child transition
smoothly into the new school year. Please read the packet

Listed below are needed school supplies we use on a daily basis. These
items will be collected and stored so they are available as we need them
throughout the school year. If you would like to donate supplies to the
classroom, it is greatly appreciated.

Snack
We will have snack every day. Please send in a nutritious snack
daily. Please DO NOT send in candy, soda, or glass bottles. Also
please limit the number of snack items to 2 or 3 (drink and 2
snacks).
Bocadillo

Homework Notice
Homework will be given out Monday through Thursday.
Math: A math fact and/or a skill worksheet will be sent home every
night for homework.
Spelling: A list of spelling words will be passed out on Monday. Please
keep the spelling list in a safe place. Your child will need the spelling list
in order to complete the homework throughout the week.
Reading: Students need to read 20 minutes every night and have an
adult sign off in their homework agenda. If your student needs a book to
read at home please contact you child’s teacher.

Matemáticas: Tendremos matemáticas de cálculo o habilidad y se

Ortografía/Deletreo: Una lista de palabras de ortografía o deletreo se

seguro. Su hijo tendrá la lista de palabras para completar las tareas
durante toda la semana.
Lectura: Los estudiantes deben leer 20 minutos cada noche y un adulto
debe de firmar fuera en su agenda la tarea. Si su hijo necesita un libro

Test Policy
If your child receives a poor test grade the test will be sent home,
indicating it will need to be signed and returned. This is so we are aware
that the test has been seen by an adult.
Also, all tests will be collected for each month and put into a test
folder. This test folder goes home at the end of the month for you to
sign and return. You may keep all of the tests inside. The only tests that
are returned are the ones mentioned above that received poor grades.
Pruebas o Exámenes
Si su hijo recibe una calificación de una prueba mala, la prueba será

Behavior Chart
The fourth grade team has established a behavior system to keep
track of every child’s behavior throughout the day. Every morning your child
will start their day off on “ready to learn.” After one warning has been given
your child will move to “think about it.” Here your child has an option to move
him/herself back to “ready to learn” by demonstrating good behavior. If the
behavior continues your child will move to “consequences” and an appropriate
consequence will be given. Consequences include, but are not limited to, think
sheet and/or parent contact. In addition, students who are showing great
behavior may be moved to “role model.” Appropriate rewards may be given in
these scenarios as well. If your student requires a more individualized
behavior plan you will be contacted by the student’s teacher. Our goal is to
reward positive behavior in hopes of diffusing the negative.
Comportamiento
El equipo de cuarto grado ha establecido un sistema de
comportamiento para hacer un seguimiento de la conducta de todos los niños
durante todo el día. Cada mañana, su hijo comenzará su día con listos para
aprender. Después de una advertencia se le ha dado a su hijo se moverá a
pensar en ello. Aquí su hijo tiene una opción para él / ella volver a estar listo

Dismissal
Dismissal is at 3:15pm. Students will only be allowed to leave with
people listed on the emergency card or who have written permission by
parents/guardians to pick them up.
Walkers will be dismissed on the Park Street side of the building at the
door closest to the playground. Please do not pick up your students in the
office, as they are not to be dismissed there and the office staff will
redirect you to where they are dismissed on the Park Street side of school.
Despido
La salida es a las 3:15 pm. Los estudiantes sólo se les permitirá salir con
personas que están en la tarjeta de emergencia o que han escrito el
permiso de los padres / tutores a recogerlos.
