weekend or any long breaks such as spring break. The only exception would be if teachers send home a permission slip to allow a project to be completed. Please be sure you read teacher communications so that you know when your child has their testing. Regular attendance, good sleep and coming to school after a healthy breakfast is so important so scholars can perform their best. We know they can reach their personal academic goals!!!! At this time of year we are busy tracking enrollment for the 2016­17 school year. If you are planning on moving over the summer and do not expect your child(ren) to return to Blair, please contact our school office if you haven’t already done so. If you have new neighbors with school age children, please encourage them to call our office to register their children! District staffing decisions have yet to be made, so it won’t be until later this spring that we know our classroom staffing for next year. As a school our attendance is closely monitored. Being here on time and being present until the end of the day is so important. The more scholars that are here every day the more time for instruction and learning! Increased attendance guarantees improvement achievement! Please instill in your child the importance of coming to school every day and arriving on time and staying until the end of the day to take full advantage of learning at every minute of the day. As the weather gets nicer we remind all that pick up on Chicago Ave. is at 3:40pm. All families picking up their scholars park and follow the proper parking signs. Please do not park in front of our neighbors driveways out of respect. All students should continue to wait near the building with teacher supervision and parents should park and walk to the building to pick up their child to ensure safety and avoid any scholars crossing on their own. We ask that families do not stay to play on the playground so that we are sure all students were picked up. You are welcome to come back after 4:00pm if you would like to play on the playground equipment. OPTIMIST CLUB SWIM MEET ​

It was a great day for supporting Blair School and for showing school spirit! Look for a formal invitation in the mail soon. Spring Music Concert The 2nd and 3rd grade scholars will be presenting “Earth” for this year's Spring Concert. The concert will be on Thursday, March 17th at 6:30pm in the Blair Gym. The scholars have already begun preparing for this concert that will be filled with beautiful voices, instruments, and energized movements. We look forward to sharing our learning in music class with all of the Blair families and friends. See you there! Congratulations to Omar Masis 1st grade Dual Language teacher: Herb Kohl Fellowship Recipient: Teacher of the Year! Omar was awarded as Elementary Teacher of the year for the State of Wisconsin. There were thousands of nominations statewide and a rigorous application process. Only one highly qualified Elementary teacher is awarded this very high honor.
