Level 1
This course focuses on high
frequency vocabulary, basic sight
words, phonics, and refining oral
and written skills.
Level 2
This level covers basic reading,
writing and practicing speaking.
Level 3
Students will improve their on-thejob dynamic communication skills.
Level 4
This level continues to improve onthe-job dynamic communication
skills, recognition of idioms,
analogies, antonyms and synonyms,
and context clues.
Level 5
Students will focus on job and
industry related vocabulary.
Level 6
In this level, students will explore
reference sources and suggested
proofreading techniques to
improve on-the-job productivity.
Level 7
This level focuses on internal onthe-job communications and
external communication with
clients and customers and also
covers problem-solving and
decision-making skills.

Level 8
Students will enhance their
comprehension of challenging
materials, texts, or practical
discussions for fluency in the
English language.
LEAP to Workforce English
This level will focus on
communication situations found
throughout business and the

This level will focus on academic
English for college readiness.
