 TRIP FOR FREEDOM Miami Fl April 24. On this day, a group of Venezuelan‐American citizens gathered in Miami to give information on the caravan event they have named "TRIP FOR FREEDOM" and that will leave Miami on May 8 at 8 am and arrive in Washington D.C. on May 9. The objective of this trek is to expedite the approval process, in Congress and in the Senate of the USA, of sanctions against the Venezuelan government, including the removal of their visas and those of their families, the freezing of stolen national funds, the seizure of their properties in this Country and forbidding them to do business with American companies. Mr. Freddy Moros informed that they will first visit Congress and meet with specific congressmen. They will then head to the White House to ask President Barak Obama to implement these sanctions using his executive power and will culminate their trip by protesting in front of the OAS, to denounce their complicit silence in face of the atrocities being committed by the government of Nicolas Maduro. Ernesto Ackerman communicated that the transportation will be via buses costing $90 for a roundtrip ticket, while some individuals will accompany the caravan in their personal cars. En esta ciudad se reunieron un grupo de ciudadanos Venezolano‐Americanos para informar sobre la caravana “TRIP FOR FREEDOM” que saldrá de Miami el 8 de Mayo a las 8 a.m. y llegara a la ciudad de Washington el día 9 de Mayo. El objetivo de la caravana es la de pedir se acelere la aprobación en el congreso y el senado de USA, las sanciones a los personeros del gobierno Venezolano, que incluyen el retiro de las visas de ellos y sus familiares, así como la congelación de los fondos robados al erario nacional, embargo de sus propiedades en este País y el no permitirles hacer negocios con empresas americanas. Informo el Sr. Freddy Moros que en la ciudad de Washington se visitara el Congreso donde se efectuaran reuniones con los congresistas participantes, de ahí se dirigirán a la casa blanca a pedir al presidente Barak Obama que aplique las sanciones por vía ejecutiva y por ultimo cerraran esta actividad manifestando al frente de la OEA, para denunciar el silencio cómplice de las atrocidades que está cometiendo el gobierno de Nicolás Maduro.
