The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is committed to protecting inmates in its detention
facilities from all forms of sexual abuse, including assaults or harassment.
All reports of sexual abuse will be taken seriously and investigated fully, and those
committing a crime will be held accountable whenever possible.
Any person having information about sexual abuse of an inmate is encouraged to file
a report on the next page.
All reports will be immediately sent to the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA)
Coordinator.

El sheriff del Condado de Kern se compromete a proteger los reclusos en sus
