Daniel is a 23- year-old boy grown into one of the greatest biological region of the world the Peruvian Amazon.
After finishing school he has to start working because of his precarious family finances. There are not many
options in his region so he decided to work on the wood’s fluvial transportation. But everything changes when
thanks to an engineer discovers the consequences of their work the rainforest deforestation.

PEPE RUBIO LARRAURI (Madrid 24/09/1979) Fotógrafo y director de documentales comerciales. Empezó su
carrera en finanzas pero al poco tiempo pasó a formarse como fotógrafo en Blank Paper. Ha publicado varios
libros de fotografía en Latinoamérica y España. En 2010 se trasladó a Nueva York para estudiar el Master in
Documentary Photography en International Center of Photography. Ha trabajado para la CNN y Naciones
Unidas entre otras organizaciones y publicaciones. Sus fotografías están representadas por la agencia
REDUX y es fotógrafo freelance para el Wall Street Journal. Durante los últimos años ha estado trabajando
en NY con el director de cine Topaz Adizes. En 2013 crea la productora Mad City Blues. Ha dirigido los
documentales: Chasquis Semilla en la selva De Agua Cerros y Acordes Nunca es tarde Otros Ojos e Itaca.

PEPE RUBIO LARRAURI (Madrid SPAIN 09/24/1979) Photographer and docu-commercial filmmaker. He
began his career in finance but soon made a career change to photography studying at Blank Paper. He has
published several books of photography in Latin America and Spain. In 2010 he moved to New York to study
the Master in Documentary Photography at the International Center of Photography. He has worked for CNN
and the United Nations and other organizations and publications. His work is represented by REDUX agency
and he is freelancing for The Wall Street Journal. In recent years he has been working in NY with filmmaker
Topaz Adizes. In 2013 created the production company Mad City Blues. He has directed several
short-documentaries such as Chasquis Seed in the Rainforest Water Hills and Chords Never Too Late Other
Eyes and Ithaca.
