Tender for the supply and delivery of specialized utility vehicles

1.
This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project
that appeared in UNDB online on 18th February 2016 and on the African Development
Bank Group’s Internet Website.
2.
The Government of the republic of Zambia has received Financing from the African
Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Lusaka Sanitation Program.
It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments
under the contract for supply and delivery of Specialized Utility Vehicles.

The Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Limited now invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the supply of Specialized Utility Vehicles as detailed in the table below:

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding
documents at the Procurement and supplies Unit, Ground floor, white building, Lusaka
Water and Sewerage company head office, P.O Box 50198 Lusaka, Zambia. The telephone
numbers are 251718/257579 and the telefax no. is 251718. The bidding documents can
also be accessed on the Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Limited website:
www.lwsc.com.zm.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by eligible interested bidders on
the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-
refundable fee of ZMK 1000.00 or its equivalent in any freely convertible currency at the
prevailing exchange rate, in cash or by bank certified cheque.
6.
The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract
are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document:
Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.
7.
Bids must be delivered to the above address in the Tender box situated at the reception
area, ground floor, white building on or before 14:30 hrs on Friday, 21st October 2016 .
HOWEVER, ELECTRONIC OF TELEFAX BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the
opening of bids in the Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Limited Board room on the
ground floor at the Head office on Friday, 21st October 2016.
