Through the exploration and analysis of linguistic data, the course aims to improve the students’ knowledge of English grammatical formation processes and structures and promote reflection upon language. In essence, it is intended to encourage their critical abilities with regard to linguistic phenomena. Initially, the course will study the intricacies of inflectional morphology, in particular in what refers to nouns, adjectives and verbs. Then a classification of the different word classes and the tools to identify them is provided, paying particular attention to the issue of fuzziness in grammar. After a review of the different types of phrases in contemporary English, their features and structure and their combination into simple clauses, students will be introduced to more complex structures, as is the case of finite and non-finite subordination, as well as coordination. Special attention will be paid to the syntactic analysis of the previous units and its representation through tree diagrams. En particular, es considera un frau la inclusió en un treball de fragments d’obres alienes presentats de tal manera que es facin passar com a propis de l’estudiant.” Actividades de trabajo presencial Modalidad Nombre Clases teóricas Tip. agr.
