Start Starting line will be located in the vicinity of the Horizons Restaurant
pier in Sausalito. An Orange flag on the pier will mark the onshore end
of the line. An Orange flag on the committee boat will mark the
offshore end of the line.

Course From the starting line in Sausalito, proceed toward San Francisco,
leaving Alcatraz to port and the Golden Gate Bridge to starboard.
Finish Between two markers, one an Orange flag placed onshore at the end of
the St. Francis Yacht Harbor breakwater, and the other an orange
tetrahedron float marked “Bullship Race” in the water easterly from the
end of the breakwater. The float is to be left to port.
Rules The race will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, El Toro
Class Rules, and the Special Bullship Race Rules and Instructions.
Cowships Toro Skippers are urged to engage seafaring escort Cowship boats and
crew. For skippers who are unable to do this, ABRA will allocate
available slots on other Cowships. Any skipper who is physically
challenged is encouraged to arrange a personally dedicated Cowship.

SALUTE TO SAUSALITO YACHT CLUB
For upwards of half a century the Sausalito Yacht Club has welcomed the Bullship Committee and the
Bullship skippers to the shipshape SYC clubhouse on race day. The Committee conducts its safety inspection at
the club dock, and most of the skippers launch from that dock. If you spot an SYC member on March 26, say
thanks, and shake hands! They’re all salty, and good friends.
