MULTI-FUNCTIONAL STAND
Today’s architecture must be capable of adapting to
diverse circumstances and continuous changes. By
mutating its use, its form and its design, the modern
constructions do not only satisfy one demand but
other possibilities as well. “The wallbox” is a concept
that represents versatility and practicality by being a
singular block that keeps all the necessary furniture
inside it. The possibility of changing the elements
distribution it’s an excellent option for developing diverse spatial organizations and different kinds of activities. Such as a presentation on a panel, a small
table surrounded by chairs, a singular conter of information and so on.
The structure is based on a counterbalance system
where the base of the stand is a solid and heavy set
of cardboard pieces. The vertical elements support
themselves by transversal assembled pieces that
put together the vertical and the horizontal structures. The proposal consists of 189 different pieces,
using a total of 29 panels. Moreover, the project has
an outstanding profit of material having only a 4.7%
of waste. One of the main intentions of “The Wallbox” is to have a visual impact of movement and dynamism providing a different perception depending
on the spectator position and movements.
