Literacy Night/Noche de Leer
We will be having Literacy Night on Tuesday, December
15th from 5:30-7:30PM. This event will give students and
parents the opportunity to hear Christmas stories read by
our teachers and create crafts throughout the evening.
Literacy night was a huge success last year. We look
forward to seeing you!
Vamos a tener la noche de leer el martes, 15 de diciembre a partir
de las 5:30-7:30PM. Este evento dará a los estudiantes y a los
padres la oportunidad de escuchar historias de Navidad leído por
nuestros maestros y crear artesanías durante la noche. Noche de leer
fue un gran éxito el año pasado. Esperamos verte!

Christmas Program/Programas Navidenos
Our Winter Program will be held on Wednesday,
December 16th in the Academy Gym. The schedule of
performances is as follows:
Nuestro programa de invierno se celebrará el miércoles 16 de
diciembre en el gimnasio. El programa de actuaciones es el siguiente:
8:30-9:15AM- Kinder and 1st grade
9:45-10:30AM- Pre-K AM Group, 2nd grade, 3rd grade
2:00-2:45PM- Pre-K PM Group, 4th grade, 5th grade
Winter Break/Vacaciones de Invierno
Winter Break will be from December 21- January 5.
Classes will resume on Wednesday, January 6th. We hope
everyone has a very restful break and enjoys the holidays
with their loved ones.

Las clases se reanudarán el miércoles, 6 de enero. Esperamos que

It’s extremely important that students come
to school every day. Whenever they are not
here, they miss instruction and risk falling
behind. Ensure your child comes to school
every day unless there is an emergency or
uncontrollable circumstance.
Es muy importante que nuestros estudiantes asistan
la escuela diariamente. Cuando un estudiante falta de
clases, esta perdiendo instrucción y tiene el riesgo de
retrasarse en sus estudios. Asegure que cada día su

Remember to schedule your child’s doctor
appointments in the afternoon or as late as
possible to ensure that your child does not
miss valuable instruction.

Please make sure you know which bus route
your child needs to take. If you have any

IDEA Public School’s mission is to prepare students for success in college
and citizenship. To ensure that all of IDEA students become college
graduates, we need your children in school for the entire day in order to
provide the best instruction. Please schedule doctor’s appointments, trips
and other events that will keep your child from attending school at a
minimum. If your child must be absent, please give us a call and let us
know how can we help you.

provides the necessary fuel to start a day of learning and achievement.
Research has shown that children who eat breakfast have higher
academic scores, improved behavior, reduced tardiness and
absenteeism, and less visits to the nurse’s office.
