Tech Talk Do you remember the first Polaroid camera? Polaroid manufactured instant self developing cameras between 1947 and 1983, model 95 which produced instant prints in about 1 minute. 3-D PRINTING Makes a three-dimensional solid object of virtually any shape from a digital model. 3D printing is a process, where layers of materials are laid down in different shapes, which relies on the removal of material by cutting or drilling. To print, the machine reads the design from a file, lays down layers of liquid, powder, paper or sheet material to build the model from a series of cross sections. In February 2008, Polaroid announced the discontinued production of film, it shut down three factories and laid off 450 workers. However, in October 2009, Polaroid announced it would bring back its classic instant film cameras. **************************************************************** Polaroid returned to it’s instant camera roots last year, merging the convenience of digital photography with instant printing, the Z2300 instant digital camera.
