Back to School Night Parent Letter

Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are excited to announce that we are hosting our annual Back to School Night this Thursday, September 8th from
4:30 pm to 6:45 pm. In order to avoid long lines and crowded hallways we have changed our format this year. Instead of
standing in line to pick up your child’s progress report, parents will begin Back to School Night in their child’s Advisory
classroom to pick up grades and other important information. Parents will then follow a schedule and proceed to each
class, periods 1-6. In order to see and hear from each of your child’s teachers, it is imperative that you arrive on time and
plan to stay the entire duration. We strongly recommend that you bring your child with you. Please be aware that if you
have more than one child at Ouchi, we strongly suggest that you designate one adult per child to follow the schedule.
During Back to School Night, you will have an opportunity to meet with each of your child’s teachers. In each class, you
will learn about your child’s classes, academic plan, and academic expectations for the school year.

We are accommodating families with small children by offering a movie in the FLEX building. As always, student clubs
and grade level committees will be serving food/snacks outside in the quad area, so please come prepared to eat and enjoy
a great evening at Ouchi!
Parents must attend all classes in order to receive 5 parent hours.
Again, we encourage you to arrive early and plan to stay for the entire time. We hope to see you and your child at Back
To School Night!

Noche de Regreso a Clase

Estimado padre o guardián,
Estamos muy contentos de anunciar que vamos a celebrar nuestra anual noche de regreso a clase este jueves 8 de
septiembre de 4:30-6:45pm. Con el fin de evitar las largas líneas y los pasillos llenos de gente, hemos cambiado nuestro
formato este año. En lugar de estar parado en línea para recoger las calificaciones de progreso de su estudiante, los padres
comenzarán el evento en el salón de advisoria de sus estudiantes y recogerán las calificaciones y otra información
importante. Los padres seguirán un horario y continuarán a cada clase, los períodos de 1-6. Con el fin de ver y escuchar a
cada uno de los maestros de su hijo, es imprescindible que usted llegue a tiempo y se quede toda la duración. Es muy
recomendable que su estudiante asista con usted. Tenga en cuenta que, si usted tiene más de un hijo en Ouchi, es
altamente recomendable que se designe un adulto por niño a seguir el programa.
Durante la noche de regreso a clase, tendrá la oportunidad de reunirse con cada uno de los maestros de su hijo. En cada
clase, usted aprenderá acerca de las clases de su hijo, plan académico y las expectativas académicas para el año escolar.

Para acomodar a las familias con niños pequeños, ofreceremos una película en el edificio FLEX. Como siempre, ¡los
clubes de estudiantes y los comités de nivel de grado estarán vendiendo comida en el patio así que por favor venga
preparado para comer y disfrutar de una gran noche en Ouchi!
Los padres deben asistir a todas las clases con el fin de recibir 5 horas voluntarias.
Una vez más, le recomendamos que llegue temprano y que planee quedarse durante todo el tiempo. ¡Esperamos ver a
usted y su hijo en la noche de regreso a la escuela!
