ACUERDO ALCANZADO SOBRE EL NUEVO PLAN DE
MIGRACIÓN A T2S
A continuación se informa a los participantes de IBERCLEAR de la nota publicada esta misma
mañana por el Banco Central Europeo respecto al proyecto T2S:
Acuerdo alcanzado sobre el nuevo Plan de Migración:
En su reunión del 10 de diciembre, el Grupo de Dirección de Depositarios Centrales de Valores
(en adelante DCV) de TARGET2 Securities (T2S CSD Steering Group, CSG), ha discutido el
documento de evaluación técnica de las soluciones al retraso de la fecha de migración a la
Plataforma T2S de los DCV incluidos en Euroclear ESES. Se ha acordado un plan de migración,
que permitiría a los DCV de Euroclear ESES migrar el 12 de septiembre de 2016, junto con VP
Lux y VP Securities, mientras que Clearstream Banking AG, los DCV Bálticos, CDCP, KDD,
KELER, LuxCSD y OeKB CSD migrarían el 7 de febrero de 2017.
La ola final, compuesta por IBERCLEAR y Euroclear Finland, migraría a T2S el 18 de
septiembre de 2017.
NBB-SSS e Interbolsa mantienen su plan original por el que migran el 28 de marzo de 2016.
Se complementará el nuevo plan de migración con una serie de medidas que mitiguen otro
retraso en la migración por parte de cualquier DCV y que reduzcan el impacto de dicho retraso
en otros DCV. Las conversaciones sobre este último asunto concluirán el próximo febrero de
2016 cuando, según está previsto, el Consejo de Gobierno del Banco Central Europeo tome la
decisión formal sobre el nuevo plan de migración.

“Agreement reached on new migration plan:
In their meeting of 10 December the CSD Steering Group discussed the outcome of the technical
assessment of solutions for the delayed migration of Euroclear ESES CSDs to T2S. Agreement
was reached on a migration plan that would allow Euroclear ESES CSDs to migrate on 12
September 2016 together with VP Lux and VP Securities, while Clearstream Banking AG, the
Baltic CSDs, CDCP, KDD, KELER, LuxCSD and OeKB CSD would migrate on 6 February 2017.
The final wave, comprised of Iberclear and Euroclear Finland, would migrate to T2S on 18
September 2017.
NBB-SSS and Interbolsa are maintaining their original plan to migrate on 28 March 2016.
The new migration plan will be complemented by further mitigating actions that will aim to avoid
the further delay of any CSD and to reduce the impact of such a delay on other CSDs. The
discussions on this issue will be concluded in February 2016 when, according to plan, a decision
will be taken by the Governing Council on the new migration plan”.
