ADULT SERVICES PROGRAMS:
Scrabble Anyone?
The Niceville Public Library will be set up with Scrabble boards for the adult community
to play and enjoy on Wednesday, May 4 & 18 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Please keep in
mind that you don’t have to be an expert to participate and all skill levels are welcome.
So bring your friends or come on your own and join in the fun!
Local Author Discussion and Signing
The Friends of the Niceville Library invite you to join local Author, Linda Sealy
Knowles. Linda will focus her discussion on the following topics:

Writers are not “born,” they are self-made.
Focus on your five senses.
How to share your writing with the world.
This free library program will be held in the Niceville Library on Tuesday, May 31
@ 10:30 a.m. Seating is limited. Please call the Library at 279-4863 x1504 or email
Lora at [email protected] to reserve a seat.
Author will also have copies of her books available for purchase and will be glad to sign
them prior to the program.
Color Yourself Calm!!
Join us for this free program for adults ages 18 +. This program will be in the Library on
Tuesday, May 10 at 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Supplies will be provided as well as light
refreshments and relaxing music. Space is limited so registration is required. Please call

Celebrate Children’s Book Week May 2 - 8
Children’s Storytime
Storytime for children ages 3 - 5 years will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays @ 10:30
am.
May 4 & 6 – “Children’s Book Week”
May 11 & 13 – “Space Stories”
May 18 & 20 – “Berries & Blossoms”
Baby Bookworms
This lapsit program consists of music, stories and rhymes especially chosen to build the bond
between you and your child. The program is suited for children from birth to age 3. Please meet
in YS program room 9:30 for Prewalkers, and 10:30 for Walkers on Thursday.

Reading Education Assistance Dogs
Reading is a wonderful opportunity for a child to build his or her imagination and begin
to build skills for his or her future. Libraries are a wonderful resource, and Therapy Dogs
can be a great way to help children discover how much fun their local library can be.
Over time your child’s reading ability and confidence can improve, which will make
them enjoy reading even more. Registration is required. Please sign up in YS program
room. Reading will be on Tuesday, May 10 @ 4 – 6 pm.
Legos @ the Library
Friday, May 20 from 4 - 5 pm for ages 7 - 12 in our Youth Services program room. This
month our theme will be Star Wars. Space is limited so registration is required. Please
sign up in Youth Services or call 279-4863 x1514.
Book Club Girls’ Edition – Close Out Social
For girls ages 9 – 12 years. To insure we have ample supplies for everyone, please
register in YS or call to reserve your seat 279-4863 x1514. Registration is required.
Saturday, May 14 at 10 - 12 noon.
Family Movie
The Library Youth Services will be hosting a movie for ages 6 + in the YS program room
on Saturday, May 21 at 10:30 am.
