With this theoretical study we try to frame and identify the theoretical basis in which good
quality practices must be based in early childhood education. To do this, we start from the
background to the evolution that has followed the early education childhood to the
present. Then we try to define education in a theoretical or legislative framework and in

the current context in which we are part.
Finally we will address the item of good practice and quality, making a synthesis of all that
it have been studied about these two concepts and seeing some examples of quality
through experiments conducted here in Navarra.
