EARLY REGISTRATION IS CRITICAL
Dear Families of 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Grade Band Students,
If your student has played a band instrument for at least one year, we invite her or him to become a part of the
fantastic and fun music program we are offering this summer. This is a great chance for your student to play in a
larger group, and to receive advanced instruction for their improvement in playing technique and musical knowledge.
WHO: Any student who has completed grades 5 - 8 with any previous band experience including woodwinds,
brass, or percussion. Please bring your instrument or indicate the need to borrow a district instrument on the
registration.
DATES:
June 20 – July 8, 2015 (No class July 4)
We finish the session with a grand finale concert on Friday, July 8 @ 12:00 noon
TIME:
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday through Friday

Mount Rainier High School Band Room

$100.00
(Limited scholarships are available for students who qualify for free/reduced price lunch.)

HOW TO REGISTER FOR SUMMER BAND:
1. Pre-registration is required and full tuition must be received by June 10, 2016. No on-site registration.
2. Complete the Registration Form below and return it with tuition fee to your school office. Please make check
or money order payable to Highline Public Schools.
3. Operation of Summer Music sessions is contingent upon sufficient enrollment.
4. Office Managers, please return the completed registration forms to Stefan Nelson in the Arts Department.
**If your family would like to Donate to help students in need for this program, please add the donation to the total
amount below and the funds will go directly toward helping all students participate. Thank you!

Si su hijo ha tocado un instrumento en una banda por lo menos un año, lo invitamos a que forme parte de un fantástico y divertido
programa de música que ofreceremos este verano. Esta es una gran oportunidad de que su hijo toque en un grupo más grande y
reciba instrucción para mejorar su técnica y su conocimiento musical.
Quien: Cualquier estudiante que haya terminado los grados 5-8 con previa experiencia en banda incluyendo instrumentos de
viento, instrumentos de metal o percusión. Por favor traiga su instrumento o mencione en la inscripción la necesidad de
pedir prestado un instrumento al distrito.
