3.1 La Universidad de Barcelona se encarga, dentro
de su ámbito de competencias, de la prestación
del servicio público de la enseñanza superior,
mediante la docencia, el estudio y la investigación.
3.2 Los objetivos fundamentales de la Universidad de
Barcelona son:
a) la creación, transmisión y difusión de la cultura y de

Artículo 4
4.1 Para el desarrollo correcto de sus actividades,
la Universidad de Barcelona hace suyos los
principios de libertad, democracia, justicia, igualdad
y solidaridad.Todos los miembros de la comunidad
universitaria están obligados a atenerse a dichos
principios en su actuación. Así, son proclamados y
garantizados:
a) la libertad de cátedra, de investigación y de estudio,
así como la de expresión, asociación y reunión de los
universitarios dentro de la Universidad,
b) la igualdad de todos los universitarios, que no pueden
ser objeto de ninguna discriminación,
c) el derecho a la participación de todos los universitarios
en la tarea común de los objetivos de la Universidad,
d) el derecho a ser evaluado de manera justa, y
e) la orientación de la docencia y de la investigación
hacia la cultura de la paz, el progreso social y humano
fundamentado en los derechos humanos y el respeto por
el medio ambiente y el desarrollo sostenible.

de prevención de riesgos laborales que garantiza la
seguridad y la salud de todos sus miembros; a tal efecto,
adopta un sistema para la gestión de la prevención de
