EN DISTINTOS TIPOS DE ORACIONES
Se usa some/any para expresar cantidades indefinidas. Ejemplo:
We ate some apples (Comimos algunas manzanas) / I bought some books (Compré algunos libros)
SOME suele aparecer en frases afirmativas.. Ejemplo:
I've got some sweets for you. (Tengo unos caramelos para ti)
ANY se utiliza en oraciones interrogativas y negativas. Ejemplo:
Are there any yoghurts in the fridge? (¿Hay yogures en el frigorífico?)
Therer isn't any sugar in this coffee (Este café no lleva nada de azúcar)
[ [ [ Nota : excepcionalmente se suele utilizar some en oraciones interrogativas para realizar ofrecimientos o peticiones
corteses. Ejemplo:
Would you like some coffee? (¿Te apetece un café?)
Could I have some water, please? (¿Podría tomar agua, por favor?) ] ] ]

CON CONTABLES/INCONTABLES
Some y any se usan delante de sustantivos contables plurales o delante de sustantivos incontables (en este caso no se
suelen traducir).
Ejemplo: There are some pencils on my table. (Hay algunos lápices en mi mesa)
There is some mineral water in the fridge (Hay agua mineral en el frigorífico)
Is there any sand in your shoes? (¿Hay arena en tus zapatos?)
[ [ [ Nota 1: Delante de sustantivos contables en singular usamos: a, an, one y determinantes posesivos (my, your,
his, etc.). Ejemplo: A: Look, it's a puppy. (Mira, es un perrito)
B: Yes, it's his puppy. (Si, es su perrito)
Nota 2 : Los sustantivos contables en plural pueden llevar some delante o no llevarlo. También determinantes
posesivos. Ejemplo:
I can give you some potatoes (Puedo darte algunas patatas)
I like potatoes (Me gustan las patatas)
She likes your friends. (A ella le gustan tus amigos) ] ] ]
