PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF REFERRAL PERIOD*

Brownsboro ISD is now accepting referrals for Kindergarten students who may need
Gifted/Talented Services for this school year. The District is also accepting referrals for students
grades 1 -11 for the 2015-2016 school year. This program is designed for students who exhibit
intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level not normally served in the
regular classroom. Services are provided only upon identification of education needs of the student.
Anyone wishing to refer a student attending Brownsboro ISD in kindergarten through eleventh
grade this school year is asked to go by the student’s campus office and request a copy of the
referral form. Gifted/Talented referral forms can also be found on the district website under the
Department of Curriculum and Instruction under Gifted and Talented Program. This form must be
returned to the school by Friday, January, 16, 2016. Those unable to go by the school should call the
campus that services their child to request a form be sent to them.

Brownsboro ISD está aceptando las remisiónes para estudiantes quien puede recibir servicios del
Programma de Dotados y Talentosos para este año escolar. El distrito también está aceptando
remisiónes para estudiantes en el primero hasta undécimo grado para el próximo año escolar de
2015-2016. Este programma es designado para los estudiantes quien muestran capacidades
creativas y intelectuales en un nivel especial que normalmente no está servido en la clase regular.
Servicios están proporcionados solamente cuando se identifican lo necessario para el estudiante. Si
alguien quiere remitir a un estudiante quien assite en Brownsboro ISD en los grados de kinder hasta
undécimo, necesita ir a la oficina de la escuela para pedir una aplicación para remitir un estudiante.
Si no puede ir a la oficina, puede llamar para que le manden un impreso por correo. También, los
impresos del Programma de Dotados y Talentosos se pueden hallar en el sitio del web del distrito
(www.gobearsgo.net) en la página de los “Departamentos” y luego en la página “Plan de estudios y
Instrucción”. Este impreso debe de ser llenado en completo y traído a la escuela del estudiante
antes de viernes, el 16 de enero 2016.
