Biografía
Doctor por la Universidad de Granada, la actividad investigadora de Juan Pedro Monferrer
Sala abarca el periodo pre-islámico y la Edad Media. Sus trabajos se centran en la producción
textual de los cristianos arabizados del Oriente Próximo en sus diversas tradiciones (siriacoárabes, greco-árabes y copto-árabes esencialmente), incluyendo el islam y el judaísmo. Es coeditor de la revista internacional Collectanea Christiana Orientalia, miembro del Consejo
Asesor de la revista internacional Aula Orientalis: Revista de Estudios del Próximo Oriente Antiguo,
así como del Comité Internacional del Journal of Medieval and Islamic History y de GraecoArabica. Es asimismo miembro del equipo internacional editor de la Serie Biblia Arabica: Texts
and Studies publicada por la editorail Brill (Leiden, Holanda).
