Stock Adjustment Guidelines
To: All Distributors of STEMCO Products
This policy permits Distributors to return stock once a year for credit, subject to the provisions of this bulletin.
STEMCO requests that you work with your STEMCO District Sales Manager to prepare the stock return request.
The Distributor may return stock for credit in the amount of 2% or less of the net annual purchases for the preceding
year (minimum return $50). The return material should be shipped freight prepaid to the STEMCO Distribution Center in
Berea, KY. Any unused portion of the return allowable amount is forfeited — it may not be carried over into another period.
Before any stock may be returned, the Distributor will submit to STEMCO Customer Service a request for credit (signed/
approved by the STEMCO District Sales Manager) and a list of the material involved, including quantity, description, and
part number of each item. STEMCO must receive the request for written approval by October 15th. If the request is in order,
STEMCO will issue a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number to cover the return of the material. After receipt of the RGA,
the stock may be returned for credit during the period of February through November 15th, but no later than 30 days from
the date of approval. STEMCO will not accept returned merchandise from mid-November through the end of January.
Credit will be issued at previous pricing unless accompanied by current invoices. A 10% restocking fee will be applied to
all adjustments.
What May Be Returned:
Any material purchased from STEMCO which is in like new saleable condition and has not been used or damaged, subject
to exceptions noted below:







Obsolete items discontinued for six months or longer or not listed on current price sheet.
Special items manufactured specifically for the Distributor and not catalogued as a standard item.
Non-returnable items include tools, gaskets, screws, windows, window kits.
Used, damaged, or dirty items which are in un-saleable condition.
Products with a date code greater than 3 years.

Any material returned that is “unacceptable” (i.e., obsolete, used, damaged or unsalable) will be returned at the
Distributor’s expense or scrapped, at the Distributor’s option, and no credit issued. If the Distributor wants the material
returned, it must be noted on the initial request so that it can be noted on the RGA.

Directrices para el ajuste de las existencias

Esta política les permite a los distribuidores devolver existencias una vez al año a cambio de crédito, de acuerdo con las
disposiciones de este boletín. STEMCO exige que trabaje con el gerente de Ventas STEMCO del Distrito para preparar la solicitud
de devolución de existencias.
El distribuidor puede devolver existencias a cambio de crédito por la cantidad del 2% o menos de las compras anuales netas
para el año anterior (devolución mínima de $50). El material devuelto se debe enviar a través de un flete de transporte pagado
previamente al Centro de Distribución STEMCO en Berea, Kentucky. Toda parte no usada de la cantidad permitida para la
devolución se perderá; no podrá transferirse a otro período.
Antes de devolver cualquier existencia, el distribuidor presentará a Servicio de Atención al Cliente STEMCO una solicitud de
crédito (firmada/aprobada por el gerente de Ventas STEMCO del Distrito) y una lista de los materiales involucrados, incluidos la
cantidad, la descripción y el número de pieza de cada artículo. STEMCO debe recibir la solicitud de aprobación por escrito antes
del 15 de octubre. Si la solicitud está en orden, STEMCO emitirá un número de Autorización de Devolución de Mercancías (RGA)
para cubrir la devolución del material. Tras la recepción de la RGA, se podrán devolver existencias a cambio de crédito durante
el período comprendido entre febrero y hasta el 15 de noviembre, pero no posterior a los 30 días desde la fecha de aprobación.
STEMCO no aceptará mercancías devueltas desde mediados de noviembre hasta fines de enero.
El crédito se emitirá por un precio anterior a menos que esté acompañado de las facturas actuales. Se aplicará una tasa de
reposición del 10% a todos los ajustes.
Qué se puede devolver:
Cualquier material comprado a STEMCO que esté en condiciones para venderse como nuevo y no esté dañado ni se haya usado,
sujeto a las excepciones que se indican a continuación:







Artículos obsoletos interrumpidos durante seis meses o más, o que no figuren en la lista de precios actual.
Artículos especiales fabricados específicamente para el distribuidor y no catalogados como un artículo estándar.
Los artículos sin devolución incluyen herramientas, juntas, tornillos, ventanas y juegos de ventanas.
Artículos usados​​, dañados o sucios que no estén en condiciones de venta.
Productos con un código de fecha superior a 3 años.
Programadores DataTrac y productos BAT RF que funcionan a pila.
Manillares
Todo material devuelto que sea “inaceptable” (es decir, obsoleto, usado, dañado o que no se pueda vender) será devuelto
a expensas del distribuidor o desechado, a elección del distribuidor, y no se emitirá crédito alguno. Si el distribuidor desea
la devolución del material, esto deberá señalarse en la solicitud inicial para que se tenga en cuenta en la RGA.
