Team Work: Free Oscillation of Beam
Objective: Find the acceleration of the center of gravity of a beam with two springs
coupled that oscillates freely.

The report must have the following format, and cannot be longer than 5 pages, a cover
page is not necessary.
1. Introduction: why you think it is important to develop this experiment. End this part
with a description of the specific objectives of the experiment. Please do not forget
to include references.
2. Design of the experiment: Explain how you are going to reach the proposed
objective. Mention the parameters that you will compare, how many repetitions you
intend to develop.
3. Experimental development: Describe the equipment employed and explain the steps
completed for the experiment.
4. Analysis of results: summarize results from the measurements and plot them with
the theoretical values. Then, can you explain closeness or differences, discuss
possible sources of error.
5. Conclusions and recommendations: try to write the objective as a research question,
and then answer it with your conclusions. For the recommendations, try to think of
new research questions2.
