DESCRIPTION, ADVANTAGES AND USES
• Two-component modified, epoxy coating, cured with amine.
• High thickness self-priming, compatible with a wide range of finishes.
• High impermeability and corrosion resistance due to 16GFK Additive.
• Does not contain lead-based pigments.
• Low VOC and high solids by volume which reduces the possibility of pores or trapped solvent
between layers.
• Resist splatter of acid or alkaline solutions, solvents, acid vapors and water.
• For protection of structural steel and pipes in all types of industrial and marine environment.
• For maintenance and protection of “Splash Zone” on piles of piers and offshore platforms.
• For interior of tanks that contain alkaline solution, oil, fuel, wastewater, and certain chemical
products.

Any discoloration and darkening that occurs at temperatures above 93°C will not affect the
performance of the paint.

SURFACE PREPARATION
• New Steel
Commercial blast cleaning, according to SSPC-SP6.
• Aged coated Steel.
Hand or power tool cleaning, according to SSPC-SP2 or SSPC-SP3.
• Concreto
Cleaning according to ASTM D4259 (“sandblasting) or ASTM D4260 (acid attack).
Coating performance depends on surface preparation grade.
For immersion service is required Near-white Blast Cleaning according to SSPC SP10 as minimum.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Check availability of all components.
2. Homogenize each component separately before mixing. Use a pneumatic or electric explosion-proof
stirrer.
3. Pour the resin into a clean container and then the catalyst.
4. Mix thoroughly the two components using the stirrer.
5. Add the Jet GFK Additive slowly with constant stirring and homogenize the mixture.
6. To facilitate the application, add a maximum of 1/4 of gallon of JET ECOPOXY 90 thinner per gallon of
prepared paint, and stir the mix again.
7. Make sure that the equipment is without filter and with the appropriate nozzles.
8. Apply the paint in even passes, overlapping each pass 50%.
9. Apply the prepared paint before exceeds its pot life.
10. Recoat within the recommended “overcoating time”.
RECOMMENDED PRIMERS
• It may be applied directly to the metal, but
any epoxy primer of the JET brand may
also be used.

• It may be repainted with other coat of Jet
85MP GFK. However, to improve its
resistance to sunlight, a polyurethane finish
