The people below are looking for cookery courses. Read their descriptions and information about eight cookery courses.
Decide which course would be the most suitable for each person.
1. John is a skilful cook. However, his girlfriend hasn’t got any kitchen experience. They are looking for
a two-day course that will teach them how to cook healthy meals for when they have dinner parties.
2. Darren is a weak cook, and he wants to improve quickly. He’s interested in cooking strategies for healthy
living. He only wants to learn with students on his own level.
3. Amanda can confidently cook main meals, but she hasn’t had much success in baking. She wants to
create interesting birthday cakes for her grandchildren. She’s free in the early mornings.
4. James has got an ambition – to open a bakery specialising in delicious breads from around the world. He
needs guidance both as a baker and a business owner. He’s only free in the evenings.
5. Sarah has just completed a cooking diploma, and dreams of owning a restaurant. She wants to learn
more about the restaurant business by taking an early-morning course with one-on-one instruction over
the summer months.
