Good morning, my name is Jhonatan Pardo. Today I’ll be talking about how technology has evolved over time and how it has helped humanity thanks to technological advances that has contributed to a better management and organization of equipments that people use in their daily lives, The list of technology we rely on every day is long: it includes the vehicles that transport us, the houses we sleep in, the medication that heals and protects us, the machinery we use for production, the instruments to produce music and art, and the gadgets we use to communicate with each other. Now, our focus is on some of the fundamental changes of technological advances, especially in technologies that got developed very recently and in which innovation is particularly fast. Since the technology bubble burst back in the two thousands, technology has radically transformed our societies and our daily lives. From smartphones to social media and healthcare, leading to a technological revolution. At the same time, technology became more personal and portable. These changes led to a world in which technology touches nearly everything we do. Technology has changed major sectors over the past twenty years, including media, climate action and healthcare. This gives us an insight of how emerging tech leaders have influenced and responded to these changes. Vehicles traditionally used fossil fuels and still do, but thanks to the massive growth on consciousness, companies approached the issue by developing a new source of alternative fuel to use in vehicles to avoid CO2 pollution on the planet, another example is medicine, treatments and healthcare were way to different than nowadays. Medicine has advanced and progressed as much to save lives, back in the days this was almost impossible, but thanks to improvement and research in studies the medical equipment has been improved and some of them changed. Also, the entertainment has changed; the way we play video games it’s way different than twenty years ago; in the past kids played in the streets, had fun running, jumping, they were on the arcades, this progression was important for the development of imagination and creativity, but now the children prefer to play with their smart phones, or staying late on their computer or consoles, here we notice how the evolution of technology affected even the smallest things. Many of the developments are driven by technological advances. Technological change was necessary to achieve a higher life expectancy around the world. And this is what provoked studies and information to growth in such a large scale – and thereby the decline of poverty – possible. In this sense, much of what I’m presenting is the progression of technology over time and how it improved the quality of life in many ways. Technological change is obviously not necessarily positive. Some of the greatest risks of humanity that is facing are due to technological innovation. The past 20 years have greatly shaped how and where we consume media. In the early two thousands, many technological firms were still focused on expanding communication for work through advanced bandwidth for video streaming and other media consumption that is common today.
