Well, I'm from Ica; and my favorite festivals are Vendimia and Señor de Luren VENDIMIA Thousands of people attend The Vendimia every year. It’s a international harvest festival. And there are beautiful parades. The Vendimia starts on March 6th and finishes on March 16th. It lasts for eleven days. And it's an event in honor of the grapes of Ica. People perform traditional dances of Ica like Festejo and Alcatraz. And people often perform Peruvian Paso Horses parades, and women usually compete in beauty contests. And of course, there is a lot of Pisco and Wine to taste. It's really delicious. SEÑOR DE LUREN This is the Señor de Luren. He is our patron of Ica. Every year. thousands of Catholic people attend the Señor de Luren Festival. It's the most important religious festival in Ica. This annual festival happens every October. The parade is His honor starts on the third Monday in October at 7:00 in the evening; and lasts for around 17 hours. People always build beautiful arches and beautiful rugs in His way. And people usually sing traditional religious songs. At this festival, People often eat sweet breads at Velazco's shop, and taste the delicious chocotejas at Helena's shop.
