1. Exploration moment
Good morning, my name is Nidya Navarrete, I am a social studies
teacher and the purpose of the session is talking about the active
pedagogies and the possibilities that we have in the classroom.
To start, I want to share with you this phrase of a Latin-American
pedagogue called Paulo Freire, he said in one occasion
"I can't be a teacher if I don't perceive better every time that my practice,
not being neutral, demands of me a definition, a position, decision,
rupture.
I like this phrase so much because it makes me feel engaged, it
questions me about my professional and teaching work, and today I want
to invite you to question yourself about it.
For it, I want you go to the next link and answer two question about
active pedagogies
I will share the link in the chat… Mentimeter activity

2. Structuring moment
Active pedagogies have responded to changes in society, these
methodologies grant greater autonomy to the student by not imposing
a certain sequence of work, but allows a free evolution that lets the exploration
of various strategies to solve a challenge, questioning the operation of
learning.
These methodologies included.
1- Encourage individual and group thinking (fomentar el pensamiento ind. Y
grupal)
2- Team work - To apply this technique you must assign tasks that
encourage participation, interaction and discussion among the
participants.
3- Playful activity and use of games didactic - This develops the four skill
areas of the language: reading, writing, listening and speaking
4- The role play- Through this technique, students should assume the roles
or roles of other people or characters and represent feelings, thoughts and
behaviors.
5- Constructive dialogues- This activity allows to put in different situations to
students
6- The evaluation in pairs – Co-evaluation- It is useful for planning heir own
learning, identifying their own strengths and weaknesses, identifying
areas for actions, as well developing personal skills.
3. Evaluation moment
Check the questions and try to answer anyone
Now, I am going to present you a video with an idea about a methodological
proposal
jigsaw reading
jigsaw today you're going to work in a group to learn information from a
lengthy text even without reading the entire passage to start everyone in the
class will be given the same text then each member of the group will be
assigned a small piece of the text once you know what part of the text you are
responsible for start reading work independently look for key points new
information and answers to questions after everyone in the class is finished
reading you're going to meet in an expert group the expert group is everyone
in the class who read the same part of the text in the expert group ask each
other questions share your thoughts on the reading and then when you're
done return to your original group in the group it is your job to share the
important points about what you have read then listen to the others in the
group to learn what the rest of the text was about as a group make sure
everyone knows everything about the text because at the end of the activity
your teacher will assess your understanding of the entire text jigsaw
