You are required to write a report to the IT manager of an upcoming SME manufacturer of
food who has 50 employees and a turnover of £30 million who is planning to invest in a
cloud ERP system. They currently rely on excel for planning and inventory and use an
accounting system called SAGE line 50. The CEO would like you to identify the benefits of
using cloud ERP which is an off the shelf product and can be easily implemented. You need
to select one cloud ERP product from Gartner’s list of cloud ERP reviews.
1) Advantages of using an cloud ERP to plan for procurement, sales and manufacturing
in comparison to SAGE L50 [10 Marks]
2) Analyse the features of chosen cloud ERP product to a supply chain manager of the
SME manufacturer [10 Marks]
3) Critically evaluate the benefits of accurate data for a cloud-based ERP solution [10
