MAJOR COMPONENT

1. TRACTION MACHINE WITH BRAKE
IT IS A FUNCTION THAT TRANSMISSION THE TORQUE OF MOTOR TO
SHEAVE, AND THIS IS INSTALLED AT THE MACHINE ROOM.
ACCORDING TO THE ROTATING DIRECTION, ONE OF CAGE AND C.W.T IS
LIFT OR DROP.
AND THE TRACTION MACHINE HAS A MAGNETIC BRAKE, IF THE POWER IS
OFF, TRACTION MACHINE IS STOPED BY OPERATING OF SPRING WHICH IS
POSSIBLE TO THE 125% LOAD.
2. CONTROL PANEL
CONTROL PANEL IS A FUNCTION THAT TRACTION MACHINE AND ALL
ELECTRIC CIRCUIT ARE CONNECTED AND ELEVATOR COULD BE SAFELY
OPERATED. AND IF SAFETY LINE HAS A TROUBLE, CONTROL PANEL CUT
THE POWER OF TRACTION MACHINE TO STOP THE ELEVATOR.
ALSO, THERE IS A MAIN POWER FOR CREW TO TURN ON/OFF THE
ELEVATOR.
3. CAGE(=CAR) WITH ESCAPE HATCH
THIS IS A SPACE TO MOVING FOR CREW OR GOODS. THERE IS A ESCAPE
HATCH ON THE TOP OF CAGE.
4. COUNTER WEIGHT(=C.W.T)
IT IS A FUNCTION TO MINIMIZE THE LOAD OF TRACTION, AND IT IS IN A
SYMMETRY POSITION OF CAGE.
IT'S WEIGHT IS CALCULATED BY CAR WEIGHT + 50% OF LOAD.
5. LANDING DOOR
IT IS INSTALLED AT THE PASSAGE HALL OF ELEVATOR, AND IT IS
POSSIBLE TO OPEN WHEN THE ELEVATOR IS STOPED EACH DECK LEVEL.

6. CAR DOOR AND DOOR MOTOR
IT IS A FUNCTION FOR CREW TO PROTECT BY OPEN/CLOSE WHEN THE
ELEVATOR IS STOPED EACH DECK LEVEL.
ALSO, THERE IS A SAFETY SHOE(SAFEY EDGE) TO PROTECT THE USING
THE ELEVATOR PERSON.
CAR DOOR MOTOR IS A FUNCTION THAT THE CAR DOOR COULD
AUTOMATICALLY OPEN/CLOSE.
7. GORVERNOR AND TENSION WEIGHT
THIS IS A FUNCTION TO STOP BY TRIP THE WIRE ROPE WHEN THE
ELEVATOR IS MOVING OVER THE NORMAL SPEED.
IN CASE OF SHIP ELEVATOR, THERE ARE TWO SET OF GORVERNOR FOR
CAR AND COUNTER WEIGHT.
TENSION WEIGHT IS FUNCTION TO MAINTAIN THE WIRE ROPE FOR PROPER
TENSION.
8. SAFETY FOR CAGE
IT IS A FUNCTION THAT ELEVATOR CAGE IS POSSIBLE TO MECHANICALLY
STOPPED WHEN THE CAGE IS MOVING OVER NORMAL SPEED.
IT IS INSTALLED AT THE BASE PART OF CAGE.
9. SAFETY FOR C.W.T
IT IS A FUNCTION THAT COUNTER WEIGHT IS POSSIBLE TO MECHANICALLY
STOPPED WHEN THE C.W.T IS MOVING OVER NORMAL SPEED.
IT IS INSTALLED AT THE BASE PART OF C.W.T
10. GUIDE RAIL AND SUPPORT
IT IS A FUNCTION THAT THE CAGE AND C.W.T IS POSSIBLE TO
STRAIGHTLY VERTICAL MOVING.
THEREFORE, THESE GUIDE RAIL SHOULD BE VERY EXACTLY INSTALLED TO
REDUCE THE VIBRATION AND NOISE FROM CAGE AND C.W.T

11. JUNCTION BOX (CAR, HATCH)
THERE ARE THREE KINDS OF JUNCTION BOX TO CONNECT THE EACH
RELEVANT EQUIPMENT.
- CAR JUNCTION BOX
IT IS A FUNCTION THAT CAGE AND OTHERS ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT COULD
BE CONNECTED.
IT IS INSTALLED AT TOP OF CAGE AND THERE ARE BUTTONS FOR MANUAL
OPERATION.
- HATCH JUNCTION BOX
IT IS IN A POSITION BETWEEN CONTROL PANEL AND CAR JUNCTION BOX.
IT IS A FUNCTION THAT TRAVELLING CABLE AND CONTROL PANEL COULD
BE CONNECTED.
- TERMINAL BOX
IT IS A FUNCTION TO CONNECT THE LIMIT SWITCH FOR LANDING DOOR.
12. TRAVELLING CABLE DUCT AND SUPPORT
TRAVELLING CABLE IS INSTALLED BETWEEN HATCH JUNCTION BOX & CAR
JUNCTION BOX, AND IT IS DESIGNATED SO AS NOT TO BE FIXED ON THE
CABLE TRAY, BECAUSE IT IS TRAVELLED WITH CAGE DURING THE TRAVELLING.
MOREOVER, THIS CABLE IS DESIGNATED TO TRAVEL IN THE CABLE DUCT
TO AVOID THE INTERFERENCE WITH THE BRACKET OR CAGE DURING THE
SHIP'S ROLLING & PITCHING.
13. BUFFER
IN ORDER TO OBSERVE THE SHOCK CONSIDERING THAT THE CAR OR CWT
SLIP UNDER THE LOWEST FLOOR IN THE WORST CONDITION.
WE INSTALL THE OIL BUFFER.
14. TRAVELLING CABLE
WE HAVE USED THE FLAT TYPE CABLE WHICH IS SUPERIOR IN FLEXIBILITY.
BECAUSE THIS IS TO SUPPLY THE ELECTRIC POWER TO THE MOVABLE
EQUIPMENT STEADILY.
DUE TO THE SPECIFIC CHARACTER OF ELEVATOR'S VERTICAL TRAVELLING.
IT IS CALLED THE TRAVELLING CABLE.
TRAVELLING CABLE IS CONSISTED OF 3×30 CORE, AND TWO AMOUNT
THESE THREE ARE SHIELD CABLE(28×1MM2 + 2×0.5MM2)

15. MARINE CABLE AND CABLE TRAY
ALL CABLES WHICH ARE TO BE INSTALLED BETWEEN EACH COMPONENTS
HAVE SUPPLIED BY HELCO.
16. GUIDE SHOE AND OILER
GUIDE SHOE HAVE BEEN USED SO AS TO TRAVEL WITHIN THE GUIDE RAIL.
AND WE ALSO HAVE APPLIED THE OILER FOR LUBRICATING OF GUIDE RAIL.
17. OPERATING PANEL BOARD (OPB)
THIS IS A PANEL INSIDE OF CAR FOR INDICATING OF UP/DOWN DIRECTION,
LANDING POSITION AND PUSH BUTTON, ETC.
MANUFACTURER AND RATED LOAD IS SHOWN ON THIS PANEL.
