Positive form in simple present
Subject +verb+ complement
( using I, you,we and they, the verbs never change)
Ex : I study at night. He watches movies.
We go to the mall after school.
S, ES, IES ending using third person in
singular He, She and it
Adding S to the end of a verb, ( run = runs,
sit= sits, see= sees, play= plays).
Ex : Usain Bolton runs very fast.
It (the dog) understands my orders.

x,tch,sh,o. (watch=watches guess=guesses
mix=mixes,go=goes)
Examples:
She goes to the disco at 11:30 p.m
He watches Fox Sport Chile.

after a consonant (study=studies,

Frencuency adverbs in simple present
We use frencuency adverbs to express the
frecuency of an action. they go before the
verbs.
Always, Usually , sometimes , rarely and
never.
Example
Maria always has breakfast at 7:00 a.m
Pedro rarely does exercise.
I sometimes call my friends.
I never go to the Church.
Martin usually gets up late.

Frecuency adverbs goes after the
verb to be ( ser o estar).
Examples
I am always happy.
Frank is rarely angry .
They are usually at school on time.

Negative Form in the simple
present ( don’t and doesn’t)
• Use don’t for negative sentence using
I,you, we, and they.
Example with don’t:
I don’t like pizzas.
You don’t study geometry.
We don’t watch youtube videos.
They don’t do exercise at home.

Examples with doesn’t :
He doesn’t like pizzas.

Interrogative forms
Do and Does are auxiliary words , they are
always written at the beginning of a question
before the pronouns.
Use Do with I, You ,We and They.
Example with DO:

Do I have english class at 11:45 a.m ?
