An Irish exchange student is coming to stay with you and your family and she sends you an e-mail telling you a little about herself and also describing a typical day for her in Ireland. To prepare her for the visit, you send an e-mail telling her about a typical day in your life too. Dear..., ...Now I’m going to describe to you a typical day for me in Ireland. First, I get up early at about 7:30, have a shower, get dressed, and then have breakfast. We usually have a big cooked breakfast; bacon or sausage, eggs, baked beans and toast. Then I get my bag ready for school and go to the bus-stop with my brother, Liam. The school bus passes at around 8:30 and we get to school 20 minutes later. School starts at 9 o’clock. We have classes until 11:45 and then we have a lunch break. My Mum packs me something for lunch, normally a ham sandwich, a chocolate milk and maybe an apple or an orange. After that, we have sport from 12:30 to 1:15. We play regular sports like basketball but also Irish sports like hurling or Gaelic football. Next we return to class until 4pm. Then I get the school bus back home and I always do my homework before dinner. After dinner, if I have an exam, I study more, and if not, I watch TV or chat to my friends on the computer. Sometimes I go round to a friend’s house after dinner but normally I just stay home and finally I go to bed at 10:30 or 11:00... NOW IT IS YOUR TURN WRITE AN E-MAIL DESCRIBING A TYPICAL DAY.
