 Concierto de la OEX por el Bicentenario de la Constitución
El programa “Extremadura en las Cortes de 1812”
conmemora el 200º aniversario de la Carta Magna
Diciembre 2012 – Original programa el que propone Álvaro
Albiach al frente de la Orquesta de Extremadura para
conmemorar el Bicentenario de la Constitución Española de
1812, justo después del éxito obtenido con el anterior
concierto de abono dedicado a otro homenaje, el de Xavier
Montsalvatge. En él se podrán escuchar obras unidas por el
vínculo de haber sido compuestas alrededor de 1812 o en la
ciudad de Cádiz como motivo temático, y como muestra de
la música que podía escucharse en España en 1812.
El concierto empieza con 2 obras poco comunes: la obertura
para el “Barbero de Sevilla” de R. Carnicer y la obertura de
“Los esclavos felices” de J. C. Arriaga. En la primera el compositor catalán, muy famoso en su
época, no puede dejar de mostrar su pasión y admiración por Rossini. La segunda es una de
las pocas pero fantásticas obras que escribió el joven compositor bilbaíno, apodado el Mozart
español y fallecido precozmente a los 20 años. La primera parte acabará con el cuarto
movimiento de la 7ª Sinfonía de Beethoven, finalizada exactamente en 1812 y que consta,
según el propio Albiach, con muchos elementos de la Constitución de Cádiz, como la libertad,
la ilustración o el cultivo de la individualidad.
Para la segunda parte, la OEX dirigida por Albiach nos ofrecerá “El amor Brujo” del compositor
gaditano Manuel de Falla. La velada contará con la intervención de la mezzosoprano Ana
Tobella, una de las voces con más proyección de nuestro país. El concierto tendrá lugar el 13 de diciembre a las 20:30 horas en el Palacio de Congresos
Manuel Rojas de Badajoz.
Días más tarde, Álvaro Albiach se desplazará a Barcelona para interpretar junto a la Orquesta
de Cambra de Granollers “The Messiah” de G.F.Haendel, y ya en enero se pondrá al frente de
la Orquesta Ciudad de Granada con un atractivo programa compuesto por Mozart, Copland y
Roussel.

The program “Extremadura en las Cortes de 1812”
Commemorates its 200th anniversary
December 2012 - Original program the one proposed by
Álvaro Albiach in front of the Orquesta de Extremadura to
commemorate the Bicentennial of the Spanish Constitution
of 1812, right after the success of the concert dedicated to
another tribute, to Xavier Montsalvatge. In it we will listen to
works linked together by the bond of having been composed
around 1812 or in the city of Cadiz as thematic motif, and a
sample of the music that could be listened to in Spain in
1812.
The concert begins with two rare works: the overture to the
"Barber of Seville" by R. Carnicer and the overture to "The
Happy Slaves" by J. C. Arriaga. In the first one, the Catalan composer, very famous in his days,
cannot fail to show his passion and admiration for Rossini. The second is one of the few but
great works written by the young composer of Bilbao, nicknamed the Spanish Mozart and who
died prematurely at age 20. The first part will end with the fourth movement of Beethoven's 7th
Symphony, which was completed exactly in 1812 and that has, according to Albiach himself,
many elements of the Cádiz Constitution, such as freedom, illustration or cultivation of
individuality. On the second part, the OEX directed by Albiach will offer "El Amor Brujo" by composer from
Cadiz, Manuel de Falla. The evening will include the performance of mezzosoprano Ana
Tobella, one of the most promising voices in our country. The concert will take place on December 13 at 8:30pm at the Palacio de Congresos Manuel
Rojas in Badajoz. A few days later, Álvaro Albiach will be in Barcelona to perform along with the Orquesta de
Cambra de Granollers "The Messiah" of G.F. Haendel, and afterwards in January will head the
Orquesta Ciudad de Granada with an attractive program with Mozart, Copland and Roussel.
