Jurista Chilena de prestigio internacional con larga trayectoria en docencia e
investigación del derecho internacional de los derechos humanos. Presidenta de la
Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos. Abogada, Licenciada en Ciencias Jurídicas
y Sociales en la Universidad de Chile, Doctorada en Derecho en la Universidad de
Utrecht, Holanda. Es también profesora de Derecho Internacional de los Derechos
Humanos de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Chile.
