CATEDRAL DE SANTIAGO
Verdadera joya arquitectónica dedicada al
Apóstol Santiago el Mayor. Edificada en
1745, inicia su construcción como parroquia
para después, en 1891, erigirse como la
Catedral de Saltillo conjuntando varios
estilos arquitectónicos como el barroco, el
churrigueresco y el neoclásico. Es el edificio
más representativo de Saltillo. En el interior
sobresalen sus retablos, así como el frontal
de plata que se encuentra en el altar de San
José, pieza del siglo XVIII que participó en la
exposición “México, Esplendores de Treinta
Siglos”, que recorrió EUA y México durante
tres años.
A true architectural gem, dedicated to Apostle
Santiago de elder. It was built in 1745, it started
out as a parish and then in the year of 1891 it
was built up to a Saltillo Cathedral status. It
combines diferent arhitectual styles like,
baroque, neoclassic and churriguresq, it is by far
Saltillos most distinctive building. Inside you
can enjoy frescoes and other retables as well
as the silver work done by the altar of San Jose,
an XVII century work of art and a main piece of
the world exhibition “Mexico 30 Centurys of
Splendor” that toured the US and México for
three years.

De gran valor histórico es este templo se
construye en 1592 al fundarse el poblado
San Esteban de la Nueva Tlaxcala, habitado
por los tlaxcaltecas. Es el templo más

SAN JUAN NEPOMUCENO
Templo jesuita construido en el siglo XIX. En
su fachada de estilo neoclásico sobresalen
sus torres inconclusas y su bella cúpula con
ventanales. En su interior resguarda óleos
del padre Gonzalo Carrasco, esculturas
evangélicas, y un mural de la vida de San Juan.

SANTO CRISTO DEL OJO DE AGUA
Fue en este lugar donde hace más de 400
años nació Saltillo. La Iglesia aún conserva
su atrio en honor al Ojo de Agua donde se
fundó la Villa de Saltillo en 1577, así como su
pequeño manantial. Las personas devotas
acuden a adorar al Santo Cristo y los turistas
a visitar el lugar gracias a su arquitectura y
valor histórico, ya que el barrio del Ojo de
Agua aún conserva muchos aspectos de los
asentamientos coloniales.

SANTUARIO DE GUADALUPE
Templo de estilo neogótico construido
en el año de1890, su estilo arquitectónico
es único en la ciudad. Está dedicado a la
virgen de Guadalupe. En la parte superior
y central de la construcción hay un reloj,
ventanas ojivales y contrafuertes de arco,
característicos del estilo neogótico.
This Goth style temple is dedicated to the Virgin
Mary of Guadalupe, made of Pink Limestone
(Cantera) built in 1890 it stood out amongst all
the Saltillo architecture, back then it belonged
to the Tlaxcalteca Indian side of the city. There
is a clock on the tower with beautiful stained
glass typical of a Neo Goth architecture.

“Ejército Mexicano”
Es el área verde más grande de Saltillo. Es
un espacio con vegetación característica de
la entidad. Cuenta con aproximadamente 3
mil árboles de pinos, fresno, palo blanco y
pirul, esparcidos en más de 12 hectáreas de
terreno boscoso. En sus diferentes zonas
se pueden realizar actividades recreativas o
deportivas. Durante los fines de semana se

PLAZA MANUEL ACUÑA
Ubicada junto al Mercado Juárez,
encontrarás esta hermosa plaza. Su nombre
es en honor al poeta saltillense Manuel
Acuña quien contribuyó al acervo literario
con obras poéticas de gran calidad, la más
conocida “Nocturno a Rosario”. En la plaza
se admira una escultura de mármol obra de
Jesús F. Contreras, esculpida para dignificar
a este ilustre personaje.
