La Bodega de la Familia GIMENEZ MENDEZ está
situada en el país más puro de America del Sur:
Uruguay. Sus cuatro viñedos que totalizan una
extensión de 100 hectáreas están localizados en un
territorio privilegiado en la región Sur del Uruguay a
escasos kilómetros del Océano Atlántico. Esta zona
geográfica, con un clima muy similar a Bordeaux
permite la producción de excelentes uvas año tras año
con las que la Familia GIMENEZ MENDEZ elabora sus
vinos Reservas, Altas Reservas, Premium y Super
Premium.

La Bodega está dirigida por Marta Mendez quien tiene
la colaboración incondicional de sus hijos Luis y Mauro
Gimenez Mendez, ambos enólogos, quienes procuran
continuar con el legado de su padre Luis A. Gimenez,
pionero de la industria vitivinícola del Uruguay por más
de cuarenta años.

The GIMENEZ MENDEZ Family Winery is located in the
purest country of South America: Uruguay. The four
vineyards (100 há) are located in a privileged territory at
the South Region of Uruguay, very closed to the Atlantic
Ocean. This geographical area, with an atmosphere
very similar to Bordeaux allows the production of
excellent grapes year after year where the GIMENEZ
MENDEZ´s Family produces its wines Reserves, High
Reserves, Premium and Super Premium.
The Cellar is directed by Marta Mendez, who has the
unconditional cooperation of their children Luis and
Mauro Gimenez Mendez, both winemakers who seek to

en Uruguay. Variedad creada en 1956, por Marcel Duquety,
Director del INRA de Bordeaux, generando la Arinarnoa por el
cruzamiento del Merlot con el Pretit Verdot.
Este vino viril y único, fue vinificado en corta fermentación para
evitar la extracción de taninos duros y conservar la tipicidad de la
cepa. Su carácter provoca sensaciones nuevas, desarrolla en la
copa potente color rojo violáceo vivaz y límpido. Nariz fresca y
mentolada aroma a arándanos y especies que aporta la barrica,
entrada en boca amable con taninos dulces y maduros, provoca la
sensación única del aroma del bosque de roble.

Vineyards offers from Uruguay. The Arinarnoa Variety was
created in 1956 by Marcel Duquety, Director of INRA Bordeaux,
Arinarnoa is the cross of Merlot with Pretit Verdot.
This single and virile wine, was produced in short fermentation to
avoid the extraction of harsh tannins and retain the criminality of
the strain. His character creates new sensations, develops in the
cup powerful purplish red colour and lively clear. In the nose
menthol scent of fresh blueberries and species that brings the
barrel, entry into mouth friendly and sweet ripe tannins, causing
the unique sense of smell oak forest.
