Nurturing Families-Empathy is the Greek word “empatheia” which means,
“feeling into”
“Empathy is the ability for one person to perceive the emotions, needs and
desires of a child; and respond in a nurturing way, keeping the positive welfare of
the child in focus. As it relates to nurturing parenting, empathy is the ability to
perceive the emotions, needs and desires of a child; and be able to respond in a
nurturing way, keeping the positive welfare of the child focus. Empathy, simply, is
the ability to care. Empathy has to do with the way parents discipline their
children. The way children are treated shapes the way children will respond to
others”

Lake Family Resource will have Christmas Food Baskets for the North Shore starting
11/30/15 all week until 600 baskets are exhausted. Distribution date and place TBA 707279-0563.
Grace Church in Kelseyville 279-8448
Kelseyville Presbyterian Church 279-1104 giving Thanksgiving baskets also.
