Valentía es valor
personal frente el peligro.
Es la capacidad para hacer
lo necesario aunque es algo
muy difícil y da miedo.
Hay que tener valentía para
probar las cosas nuevas;
para reconocer los errores y
enmendarlos. La valentía
nos ayuda a defender lo que
es correcto, incluso si
nuestros amigos están
haciendo lo contrario. En
estos casos debemos pedir
ayuda, si lo necesitamos y
dejar que nuestros
corazones se llenen de
valentía.
Courage
Courage is bravery in
the face of fear. It is doing
what needs to be done even
when it is really hard or
scary. It is going ahead
even when we feel like
giving up. It is admitting
mistakes and then doing the
right thing. With courage
we can face any situation
and do great things. When
we are courageous we let
our fears go. We do what
we really want to do.
When we make mistakes,
we learn from them. If we
need help we ask for it. We
let courage fill our hearts.

Dress Day…que tipo de ropa es apropiado
Aunque estudiantes ganen el privilegio de llevar ropa de moda
durante Dress Day, queda la expectativa que los estudiantes llevan
ropa apropiado, siguiendo las virtudes de modestia y autodisciplina. Ropa apropiada incluye:
• Camisetas con manga
• Zapatos de punta cerrada (no sandalias)
• No pantalones de estilo “skinny” o “stretchy” ni pantalones
rotos con agujeros.
• No pants (de estilo “sweats”) o ropa de ejercicio/deportes
• No tela transparente
• El chor, falda, o vestido debe ser suficiente largo para llegar
al punto del dedo con los brazos extendidos.
Llegando a clases preparado para el dia
Es importante que los estudiantes llegan a la escuela con
todos sus materiales, listos para apender; esto incluye: chaquetas,
lentes, mochilas, comida, tarea y proyectos. Ya es la politica de la
escuela que estudiantes no pueden llamar a casa pidiendo materiales
que necesitan para el dia y el año pasado aumentamos la politica de la
siguiente manera: Si estudiantes olviden materiales en casa o en el
carro y alguien se los traen despues de las 7:50, no seran entregados
al estudiante en el salon.
Dress Days…What to Wear
Though students earn a uniform free day on Dress Day, there remains
the expectation that students dress appropriately, following the virtues
of modesty and self-discipline. Appropriate dress includes:
• Shirts with a sleeve
• Closed toed shoes (no sandals)
• No skinny, stretchy or torn jeans
• No sweats or workout clothing
• No see through materials
• Shorts, skirts and dresses long enough to reach the tip of the
fingers when arms are hanging down
Being Prepared for the School Day
It is important that students arrive at school with all of their materials,
ready to learn, this includes: jackets, glasses, backpacks, lunches,
homework and projects. It is a long-standing school policy that
students may not call home for items they have forgotten and last year
the policy was extended in the following way: If students forget items
at home or in the car, and they are brought after 7:50 am, they will
not be delivered to the classroom.
