Bienvenidos a nuestro nuevo campus de SER-Niños II!
Nuestro nuevo campus SER
-Niños II, se encuentra ubicado en el 5919 Dashwood,
en el suroeste de Houston.
Cada mes, vamos a presentar, parte de nuestro personal.
Ms. Viamonte es originaria
de Venezuela. Ella tiene 8
años de experiencia como
maestra, de los
cuales 6, ha
impartido
clases a PK-4.
Es una maestra
inovadora
y
crea
nuevas
actividades y experiencias
para sus alumnus.
Ms. Abbott nació y creció en
Houston, TX. Es graduada
de Texas A & M, es egresada de Houston
Baptist University. Este es su
cuarto año enseñando PK. Ms.
Abbott le gusta
pasar tiempo con
su familia y pasear a su perrito Coco.
Del 3 al 14 de Octubre, tendrémos una competencia de
venta de pasteles imaginarios, por salón.
1er Lugar: ganará una fiesta
con pizza.
2do y 3er Lugar:
ganarán
una
fiesta con pastelillos.
Los ganadores serán anunciados el lunes 17 de octubre.
Estratégias para ayudar que el
tiempo de tarea sea más fácil:
Mr. Burmeister & Ms.
Barta, son los maestros de
PK-3. Ellos se encargan de
las 2 clases de nuestros
estudiantes más pequeños.
Con la combinación de la
experiencia docente de ambos maestros, les enseñarán
a sus alumnos los primeros
pasos para tener una educación existosa.
Vamos a tener el FESTIVAL DE
OTOÑO en Ser Niños I, en la dirección: 5815 Alder Dr. Houston, Tx. 77081.
El dia viernes 28 de octubre de 5:00
a 8:00 pm. Tendrémos deliciosa comida,
lotería, muchos juegos, premios y sorpresas! El tema del festival es “El Mago de
Oz”. Lleven a su familia a disfrutar del
Festival! Los fondos que se recauden son
a beneficio de nuestra escuela.
Algunas fechas importantes:
Hay dos estratégias claves que los padres
pueden implementar para reducir los
problemas en las tareas. El primero es
establecer rutinas claras, incluyendo
CUANDO y DONDE se hace la taréa;
teniendo el mismo horario diariamente
para cumplirla. El segundo es integrar
recompensas o incentivos para los niños
que no creen que las “buenas calificaciones” son suficiente recompenza para
hacer la tarea.

Bakeless Cake Sale!
Welcome to our new Ser Niños II campus!
Welcome to our new SERNiños II campus. We are
located at 5919 Dashwood,
on the southwest side of
Houston.
Ms. Viamonte is from Venezuela. She has 8 years of
teaching experience, 6 of those
years as a PK-4
teacher.
Every month we’ll be introducing part of our staff.
Ms. Viamonte is
an
innovative
teacher, and she always has
new activities for her students.
Ms. Abbott was born and
raised in Houston. She
graduated from Texas A&M
and received her graduate
degree from Houston Baptist University. This is her
fourth year teaching PK. She enjoys spending time
with her family
and taking her dog
Coco for long walks.
From October 3rd to the
14th, we will be holding a
Bakeless Cake Sale Competition between homerooms.
1st Place wins a
Pizza Party.
2nd & 3rd Places
win a Cupcake
Party.
Winners will be announced
on Monday October 17th.
Strategies to Make Homework Go
More Smoothly:
We’ll have our annual FALL FESTIVAL
at SER-Niños I, on 5815 Alder Dr.,
Houston, TX 77081. Friday October
28th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. We’ll
have really yummy food, bingo, lots of
games, prizes and surprises! The theme
will be The Wizard of Oz. Please bring
your family to enjoy our festival! The
money raised will be for our school.
Mr. Burmeister & Ms.
Barta are our PK-3 teachers. They teach 2 classes of
our youngest students. With
their experience, they’ll
teach their students the basics and first steps for a
successful education.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
There are two key strategies parents can
draw on to reduce homework hassles. The
first one is to establish clear routines
around homework, including when and
where homework gets done and setting up
daily schedules for homework. The second
one is to build in rewards or incentives to
use with children for whom “good grades”
is not enough reward for doing homework.
