REINHOLD MESSNER AND THE YETI
Reinhold Messner is an Austrian climber and explorer. In 1986, he went travelling in Tibet. While HE WAS CLIMBING in the Himalayas, he SAW a strange creature.
Reinhold WAS SITTING in his tent when the creature CAME near him. In the darkness, Reinhold only saw a shadow. The creature was about two metres tall, and it
HAD black hair. Reinhold thought it was a `yeti’.
A few years later, Reinhold WAS WALKING in the mountains of Pakistan when he saw two big, black bears. The bears WERE SLEEPING, but they WOKE UP when
Reinhold arrived. The explorer DECIDED that the mythical `yetis’ were only bears. He wrote a book about his experiences.

Three months ago (= Hace tres meses), Mr. and Mrs. Frew BOUGHT a new house in Ireland (= Irlanda). On their first night (=En su primera noche) in the house, they
