The Schoenstatt's founder Rev. Joseph Kentenich, since a child

El origen del Movimiento de Schoenstatt
El Movimiento Apostólico de Schoenstatt es un movimiento
mariano de la Iglesia Católica, difundido en todos los continentes.
Existen más de 185 santuarios filiales, que son réplicas del
original situado en Schoenstatt, Alemania. Se inició el 18 de
octubre de 1914 en los tiempos de la primera Guerra Mundial. Su
fundador es el padre José Kentenich, quien junto a un grupo de
jóvenes pidieron a la Virgen María que convirtiera una capillita
abandonada en lugar de gracias y de peregrinación. Las gracias
principales son las que ayudan a la persona a encontrar su camino
de felicidad. María ayuda a formar personas plenas.
En Paraguay. El Movimiento llega a nuestro país a través de un
grupo de jóvenes entusiastas entre ellos el hoy Monseñor Claudio
Giménez. La reunión de fundación se realizó el 31 de mayo de
1959. A partir de esa fecha se constituyeron los primeros grupos
de jóvenes y más tarde se consolidaron los de matrimonios. En la
actualidad el Movimiento organizado cuenta con más 1.400
matrimonios y 1.500 jóvenes que participan activamente.
Santuarios. En nuestro país existen tres. El primero, que está
ubicado en Tupãrenda se bendijo el 18 de octubre de 1981. El
segundo es el Santuario Joven en Asunción, que se bendijo el 21
de septiembre de 1997. Y, el tercer Santuario se encuentra en
Ciudad del Este y fue bendecido el 1 de octubre del 2000.
Carisma. El objetivo principal es la renovación religiosa y moral
del hombre y de la sociedad, la constitución de un hombre nuevo
y de una mujer nueva. Su principal carisma es una entrega total
de corazones a María. Es dejarse educar por María para que ella
moldee nuestro corazón y por su intermedio llegar a su hijo Jesús.
Campaña. Los misioneros y las misioneras de la Campaña del
Rosario son instrumentos de la Virgen. Ella se vale de éstas
personas para hacer conocer su mensaje. Muchos conocen
Schoenstatt, a través de la imagen peregrina. Ellos recorren con la
Virgencita casa por casa, donde Ella quiera ir. En los hospitales, en
las cárceles, en los lugares de trabajo, etc. El Movimiento en
Paraguay tiene alrededor de 5.000 misioneros y misioneras de la
Campaña del Rosario, diseminados en todo el territorio nacional.
Cada 18 de octubre llevan su Virgencita al santuario de Tupãrenda
para renovarse y salir nuevamente a “su misión”.
Los comienzos en nuestro país
El Movimiento de Schoenstatt en Paraguay a comienzos del año
1959 era una semilla muy pequeña, que se fue haciendo un árbol
vigoroso. Uno de los sembradores de antaño, el Padre José
Manuel López Herrero, nos visitó recientemente y contaba que al
llegar él hace 50 años a Paraguay con otros dos futuros sacerdotes
para regar con paciencia la semilla que había plantado la Virgen se
encontraron con cuatro jóvenes dispuestos. Los mismos luego de
seis días se habían convertido en 9. No imaginaron que al fin de
ese año ya serían unos 20, entre muchachos y chicas.
Le preguntamos al Padre López: cómo pudo darse un crecimiento
tan rápido y su respuesta fue inmediata: “Nos encontramos con
jóvenes inflamables frente al ideal de gestar un nuevo Paraguay.
Pero lo que ganó por completo y de inmediato sus corazones fue
la mirada tan especial de la Virgen de Schoenstatt. Era una
manera de relacionarse con María, que nosotros, en sí marianos
desde siempre, nunca habíamos vivido. Empezó a ser un
relacionamiento personal y muy íntimo”.
Miradas. Pasaron 50 años y esa mirada sigue robando los
corazones que llegan hasta Tupãrenda a visitar a su madre. Si la
miras con atención y escuchas en tu corazón la palabra de su Hijo
Jesús: “Discípulo amado, ahí tienes a tu madre”, experimentarás
lo que nosotros, jóvenes de entonces, pudimos vivir…esa mirada
era ¡arrasadora! Quizás algo similar habrá pasado en la primera
evangelización, cuando Roque González de Santa Cruz recorría
nuestros bosques y esteros llevando a “la conquistadora” en sus
manos.
El fundador de Schoenstatt, el P. José Kentenich, ya desde niño
formuló una breve oración cuya expresión central decía: “María,
ábreme ampliamente tu corazón y el de tu Hijo”… Y justamente
en esto consiste la primera gracia del santuario de Tupãrenda y de
los otros santuarios de Schoenstatt. María asume el pedido de su
Hijo, “Mujer, ahí tienes a tu hijo” y ella ofrece su corazón como
hogar, tal como pasó junto a la Cruz de Jesús, “el discípulo amado
la hizo suya”, la aceptó como su mamá y maestra.
Transformación. A partir de allí se da la segunda gracia del
santuario, María obra y va transformando nuestro corazón en un
pequeño cielo. Todo nuestro ser y obrar se convierte en el de un
hombre nuevo. Entonces Ella puede enviarnos como sus
instrumentos para que contagiemos estas gracias del paraíso a
muchos otros. Es que nada sin Ti María, sin tu mirada maternal
tan cobijadora. Y ella nos replica, “nada sin vos mi hijo, tu mirada
se asemeja a la mía y el mundo se llena de sonrisas. Te necesito
hijo como padre y madre, maestro y maestra de un mundo
nuevo”.
Ella nos espera en su santuario con una mirada cargada de amor y
unos brazos que no se cansan de abrazar, de proteger y de
bendecir. En su santuario vas a encontrar mucha paz.
Origin of the Schoenstatt Movement
The Apostolic Movement of Schoenstatt is a Marian movement of
the Catholic Church, spread across all continents. There are over
185 shrines subsidiaries, which are replicas of the original located
in Schoenstatt, Germany. It began on 18 October 1914 during the
First World War period. Its founder is Rev. Jose Kentenich, who
together with a group of youths supplicated to the Virgin Mary
that turned an abandoned chapel in place of grace and
pilgrimage. The main gracefulnesses are what help the person
find its happiness. Mary helps to do a whole person.
In Paraguay. The Movement has been come to our country by a
group of enthusiastic young people including Mgr Claudio
Giménez. The founding meeting was held on 31 May 1959. After
that date, were the first youth groups and later marriages were
consolidated. Currently the Movement has organized more than
1,400 marriages and 1,500 young people actively involved.
Sanctuaries. In our country there are three. The first, which is
located in Tupãrenda was blessed on 18 October 1981. The
second is the Youth Sanctuary in Asuncion, which was blessed on
21 September 1997. And the third Sanctuary is located in Ciudad
del Este and was blessed on 1 October 2000.
Charisma. The main objective is religious and moral renewal of
man and society, the establishment of a new man and a new
woman spiritually. Its main charisma is a total surrender of hearts
to Mary. It's to let educate itself by Mary and she to mold our
hearts and through herself to reach to her Jesus Christ son.
Mission. The Missionaries of the Rosary Campaign are the
Virgin's instruments. She uses these people to learn and practice
her message. Many people know Schoenstatt through the pilgrim
image. They go across with the Virgin house by house, where she
wants to go. In the hospitals, prisons, workplaces, etc. The
movement in Paraguay has about 5,000 missionaries of the
Rosary Campaign, scattered throughout the country.
Each October 18th they carry off her Virgin to Tupãrenda's
Sanctuary and go out again to renew "their mission".
Beginning in our country
At the beginning of 1959, the Schoenstatt Movement in Paraguay
