Richardson I.S.D. Calculator Agreement
According to RISD policy, a graphing calculator may be checked out for use during the
school year in the same manner that textbooks are checked out. Students will be
issued a calculator which will be identified by serial number and a school number. The
calculator will be issued with working batteries. The student is responsible for replacing
the batteries as needed. The replacements (4 AAA batteries) must all be the same
brand and all new. Mixing battery sets can permanently damage the calculators. If the
calculator is damaged or lost, or if the calculator is stolen, the student will be required to
notify the math teacher and pay for the calculator at a cost of the issued model. See
replacement cost below. Students must return the same calculator which was checked
out to him/her, with working batteries. Both the calculator and its cover must be
returned. If the calculator is broken, Texas Instruments, TI, may be able to repair it. It
will be the student’s responsibility to contact TI and make arrangements for the
calculator to be repaired; this repair expense is the student’s obligation. The TI phone

Contrato de uso de la calculadora en el R.I.S.D.
De acuerdo con la póliza del RISD una calculadora grafica podrá ser utilizada durante
el año escolar de igual manera que cualquier libro de texto. Los estudiantes podrán
usar la calculadora que será identificada por el número de serie y el número de la
escuela. La calculadora usa 4 baterías AAA y todas deben de ser de la misma marca y
nuevas y los estudiantes son responsables de hacer el cambio adecuado cada vez que
necesiten ser remplazadas. Mezclar baterías nuevas y viejas o de diferentes marcas
podría dañar la calculadora permanentemente. Si la calculadora resulta dañada, si es
perdida o robada el estudiante deberá de dar aviso inmediatamente al maestro de
matemáticas y pagar el costo de la calculadora de acuerdo al costo que se especifica
abajo. Los estudiantes deberán entregar la misma calculadora que les fue asignada
con baterías trabajando. La calculadora y la cubierta deberan ser regresadas juntas.
Si la calculadora resulta dañada o rota, Texas Instruments, TI, quizás podrá repararla.
