As a parish we are always looking for ways to reach
out to our military men and women who are away from home.
October 13th ~ November 1: We will be gathering
Halloween candy to send to our troops overseas. It will mean a lot to
them to know they are in our thoughts and prayers. There will be boxes
available for your donations at the “Trunk or Treat” and in the gathering
space beginning next week. Please NO chocolate, it doesn’t travel well.
October 26th ~ November 16th: As a community it is important
that we remember the reason for the season...Celebrating Christ!
Everyone likes to celebrate the holidays with family and friends. Our
troops overseas don’t have this opportunity. Let’s join together in an
“Act of Kindness” and write letters to these men and women who will not
be with their loved ones this Christmas season. Please address your cards
and letters to Dear Service Member, as we don’t know if it will be a man
or woman who will receive your words of encouragement. Cards and
letters should be placed in the boxes provided in the gathering
space and we will mail these wonderful gifts of love to our
troops. Please continue to keep our soldiers in prayers.

Como parroquia siempre estamos buscando formas de llegar
a nuestros hombres y mujeres en la militar que están lejos de casa.
Del 13 de Octubre al 1 de Noviembre: estaremos colectando dulces
de Halloween para mandar a nuestras tropas que están lejos. Significará
mucho para ellos saber que están en nuestros pensamientos y oraciones.
Habrá cajas disponibles para sus donaciones en el “Trunk or Treat”
y también en el vestíbulo la próxima semana. Por favor NO chocolates porque
no soportan el viaje.
Del 26 de octubre al 16 de Noviembre: Como comunidad es importante
recordar por que celebramos lo que celebramos…Celebrando Cristo!! A todos
nos gusta celebrar las festividades con la familia y amistades. Nuestras tropas
que están lejos no tienen esta oportunidad. Así que juntémonos en un “Acto de bondad”
y escribir cartas a estos hombres y mujeres que no estarán con sus seres queridos
en este tiempo de Navidad.
Tarjetas y cartas pueden ser depositadas en las cajas que están en el vestíbulo y
mandaremos estos regalos de amor a nuestras tropas. Por favor continúen orando
por nuestros soldados.
