Hello, I’m an Erasmus student from the University of Pavia. I’m doing my training in a school
located located in Los Sauces, a small village of La Palma island. My school’s name’s Jose Luis
Albendea Primary school.
I had this lucky possibility because one teacher of this introduced a project about the Erasmus
placement. Her name is Tere. In this school I work with two teachers: Tere and Maria. They are
in the CLIL project. I help them during the English lessons: I only speak in English with the
children, I read the texts in English. I prepare some oral activities to improve their English. I
also know Spanish and my teacher Maria involved me in the reading project of the school. I
love reading and I’m improving my Spanish during these lessons.
The teachers are really happy because children are motivated to learn and to improve their
English and I am so excited to stay here. I participate in all the activities of this school, all the
the teachers respect and believe in me. So, I feel so good here. That’s my second experience in
an Erasmus project and I think that it’s the best way to learn a new language.
I live in a small town. Somebody could think it’s boring, but I participate also in the activities of
this village and there is no time to get boring. For example I prepared with the teachers
Christmas Festival, Peace Day and right now I’m preparing Carnival Festival.
I am Tere, Tania’s tutor and the coordinator of this project. I’m really proud of Tania’s work.
She is helping me in all the activities that I propose her. I think that my pupils are improving
their English competence. I feel comfortable with her because she has own initiative and she
is very creative. She always suggest me something to improve my English’s lessons. We are
working together in coordination. She is helping me in the CLIL project. She isn’t only a good
teacher because of her background, in fact she is studying in her university how children learn
a second language and the best way to learn and she is writing a tesis about it, but she’d really
love to be a teacher and so she transmits it to the children.

El CEIP José Luis Albendeay Gómez de Aranda en La Palma es uno de los 35 centros
canarios que han contado con la ayuda de una estudiante Erasmus en prácticas durante
este curso 2013/2014. Teresa Rodríguez Martín fue la tutora de Tania Galesi, estudiante
italiana de la Universidad de Pavía, y según sus palabras, fue una experiencia inolvidable,
especialmente para el alumnado y la gente del pueblo. Ambas nos escribieron porque querían
compartir cómo vivieron esa experiencia tan gratificante.
Cómo lo vivió la estudiante Erasmus en prácticas...
Soy una estudiante Erasmus de la Universidad de Pavía (Italia). Estoy realizando mi
formación en una escuela situado en Los Sauces, un pequeño pueblo de la isla de La Palma. Mi
centro se llama CEIP José Albendea.
Tuve esta suerte porque una docente de este centro quiso acoger a estudiantes Erasmus en
prácticas. Su nombre es Tere. En esta escuela, trabajo con dos docentes: Tere y María, que
están en el proyecto CLIL. Les ayudo durante las clases de inglés. Solo les hablo en inglés a los
alumnos, leo textos en inglés y preparo actividades orales para mejorar su nivel. También
hablo español y mi profesora María me involucró en el proyecto de lectura del colegio. Me
encanta leer y estoy mejorando mi nivel de español con estas clases.
Los docentes de este centro están muy contentos porque los niños están motivados para
aprender y mejorar su inglés y yo estoy contentísima por estar aquí. Participo en todas
las actividades del colegio y todos los profesores me respetan y creen en mí. Por eso me
siento tan bien. Esta es mi segunda experiencia como Erasmus y creo que es la mejor manera
de aprender un idioma.
Vivo en una ciudad pequeña y podrían pensar que es aburrido, pero como también participo en
sus actividades no tengo tiempo para aburrirme. Por ejemplo, participé en las fiestas de
Navidad, el día de la Paz y Carnaval.
... Y cuál fue la perspectiva de la tutora
Me llamo Tere y soy la tutora de Tania. Estoy muy orgullosa de su trabajo ya que me ayuda en
todas las actividades que le propongo y creo que mis alumnos están mejorando
su competencia comunicativa en inglés con ella. Me siento muy cómoda con ella porque
tiene iniciativa y es muy creativa. Siempre sugiere algo para mejorar mis clases, trabajamos
de forma coordinada y me ayuda con el proyecto CLIL. No solo será una buena docente por su
perfil, sino que, además, ahora mismo está estudiando en su universidad cómo los niños
aprenden un segundo idioma y cuál es la mejor manera de aprenderlo, y está redactando
su tesina sobre esta temática. Le encantaría ser docente y así se lo transmite a los alumnos.
