A Study finds that most Americans don't know how many died in Iraq.
Exactly how many have died in Iraq, Americans don’t know but according to a
CNN count there have been 4,404 coalition deaths -- 4,091 Americans, two
Australians, 176 Britons, 13 Bulgarians, one Czech, seven Danes, two Dutch, two
Estonians, one Fijian, five Georgians, one Hungarian, 33 Italians, one Kazakh, one
Korean, three Latvian, 22 Poles, three Romanians, five Salvadoran, four Slovaks, 11
Spaniards, two Thai and 18 Ukrainians -- in the war in Iraq as of June 6, 2008. At
least 30,143 U.S. troops have been wounded in action, according to the Pentagon.

Bill Richardson is the Keynote speaker at a UCLA Conference
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson a prominent Democrat with deep foreign policy
experience, will be offering advice on how the next president might deal with socalled "rogue nations" at the UCLA Burkle Center for International Relation's
second annual conference on March 11.
Richardson will be the keynote speaker at the conference. Before serving as New
Mexico's governor, he was a U.S. congressman, U.S. ambassador to the United
Nations and U.S. secretary of energy. He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace
Prize four times, for negotiating the release of hostages, American servicemen and
political prisoners in North Korea, Iraq and Cuba. In 2007, he negotiated a 60-day
cease fire in war-torn Darfur following direct talks with rebel leaders and the
president of Sudan.

Elliot Spitzer resigns as governor of New York
New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigned in disgrace Wednesday after getting caught in
a call-girl scandal that shattered his corruption-fighting, straight-arrow image,
saying: "I cannot allow my private failings to disrupt the people's work."
Spitzer made the announcement without having finalized a plea deal with federal
prosecutors, though a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation said he
is believed to still be negotiating one. The official spoke on condition of anonymity
because of the sensitivity of the case.
