Reading C – Sally’s Pyjama Party
Hi Bob,
How was your holiday? I went to the coast for a weekend in August. My
parents start their holiday next week and they are going to Italy but I’m staying at
home alone.
What about having a terrific pyjama party on Saturday evening before the
school year starts? Are you free that weekend? I am going to invite Maria, Peter and
some of the funniest people in our class.
I think we can meet Maria on Friday evening and go to the supermarket to buy
some food and drinks for the party – alcohol-free, of course, because I don’t want to
get into trouble with my parents. Then, we can go home, watch a video and have
some pizza together.
On Saturday morning, we can prepare everything for the party – the snacks,
sandwiches, a cake and the music. The party starts at five, but if the weather is fine,
we can meet earlier and enjoy the swimming-pool.
Can you bring a special CD for the party? I want to play all kinds of music,
especially pop. We will have a great time, I am sure, but we should finish before
eleven p.m. so that there is no problem with our neighbours. Remember the last time!
After the party, people can stay to sleep in the back garden if they bring their
sleeping bags. Then, in the morning, we will have breakfast, clean, tidy up and put
the rubbish out because my parents will be back in the evening and the house has to
be perfect.
