Anuncio
Often, life throws us terrible turns of fate, and
our “spiritual boat is swamped,” and we feel
small, and wonder if it is all illusion. We ask
ourselves, “Is there a God? Am I just a particle
of cosmic dust?” And in our darkest moments,
we say, “Maybe there’s no purpose in any of
it!” This is not something peculiar to our age
and time. The people in Isaiah’s day felt the
same. Some feared there was “nothing out
there,” others thought that there was something
“out there,” but that God had forgotten them!
God reassures them (AND US) that He could
no more forget us than a mother could forget
her child! Paul tells us that as “servants,” we are
“Stewards of the Mysteries of God,” and sometimes those “mysteries” are overwhelming,
leaving us with inner questioning, but, he tells
us, to take courage, for God is a Master of
bringing out what was hidden, and why it
was...so eventually, we will understand. Jesus
reminds us that our doubts usually come because we are too focused on material stuff, and
asks us to refocus. Good advice as we prepare
to enter the Lenten Season, this week. See you
all on Ash Wednesday!
Fr. Bill Axe
detrás… entonces, poco a poco comprenderemos.
semana. ¡Nos vemos en el Miércoles de Ceniza!

Our readings for the last Sunday before Lent
assure us that our God looks upon us as His
children and not as master and servant. God
constantly seeks our good and provides us with
what we need to flourish. In the first reading,
Isaiah compares God’s love to a mother’s care
for the baby in her arms or the child within her
womb, reminding us that God’s providential
love is even stronger. Faith in God enables us
to let go of worry and anxiety over the things
of the world and seek God’s kingdom.
Dios seguido busca a

Our lives are filled with moments that shape us in our

Our Financial Report
Nuestro Estado de Finanzas
The Finance Council has agreed that it is our duty to
report the financial state of St. Agatha Parish. The
report shows a deficit of about $34 thousand. A reason that our deficit is so high is because our operating expense increased over the past three years,
while our income slowly decreased. The Finance
Council will soon explain our report and lead us the
way out of our deficit. Let us pray for our finances.
The following is a comparison in income and expense in the last five fiscal years.
