NOTICE OF ELECTION AND NOTICE OF DATE FIXED FOR SUBMITTING ARGUMENTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the following measure is to be voted on at the Gubernatorial
Primary Election, to be held within Le Grand Union High School District, County of Merced, on
Tuesday, June 3, 2014. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Le Grand Union High School District General Obligation Bond of 2014, or Measure N
“To improve the quality of education; modernize outdated classrooms, restrooms and school
facilities; repair/replace outdated heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems; upgrade
the Ag farm; increase student access to computers and modern technology; and improve p.e.
fields and facilities for school and community use; shall the Le Grand Union High School District
issue $4,200,000 of bonds at legal interest rates, have an independent citizens’ oversight
committee and have NO money taken by the state or used for administrative salaries?”

NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that not later than 5:00 p.m. on March 17, 2014, is hereby
fixed as the final date and time for the filing of arguments, not to exceed three hundred (300)
words in length, for or against Measure “N”. To be eligible for printing and distribution as
provided by law, any such arguments must be received and filed with the Merced County
Registrar of Voters Office no later than said date and time and must be accompanied by a
Statement of Accuracy, pursuant to California Elections Code section 9600, and be signed and
dated by the author(s).
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that if an argument in favor of and an argument against the
measure are submitted, copies will be mailed to the respective authors in order that they may
submit a rebuttal argument not to exceed two hundred fifty (250) words. Rebuttal arguments
must be filed not later than 5:00 p.m. on March 27, 2014, and must also be accompanied by a
Statement of Accuracy, signed and dated by the author(s).

AVISO DE ELECCIÓN Y AVISO DE LA FECHA ESTABLECIDA PARA PRESENTAR ARGUMENTOS
SE NOTIFICA POR MEDIO DEL PRESENTE que para la Elección Primaria de Gobernador se
votará por la siguiente iniciativa de ley, la cual se celebrará en el Distrito de Escuelas
Secundarias de Le Grand Union, Condado de Merced, el martes, 3 de junio de 2014. Las urnas
estarán abiertas de 7:00 a.m. a 8:00 p.m.
Bono de Obligación General de 2014, o Iniciativa de Ley N del Distrito de Escuelas
Secundarias de Le Grand Union
“A fin de mejorar la calidad de la educación; modernizar las aulas, los servicios sanitarios y
establecimientos escolares obsoletos; reparar/reemplazar los sistemas de calefacción,
ventilación y aire acondicionado obsoletos; mejorar la granja agrícola; mejorar el acceso
estudiantil a computadoras y tecnología moderna; y mejorar las canchas de educación física y
establecimientos para uso escolar y comunitario; ¿debe el Distrito de Escuelas Secundarias
Unión de Le Grand emitir $4,200,000 en bonos a tasas de interés legales, contar con un comité
de supervisión ciudadana independiente y que el estado NO pueda tomar el dinero ni pueda
ser utilizado para salarios administrativos?”

ASIMISMO SE NOTIFICA POR MEDIO DEL PRESENTE que a más tardar para las 5:00 p.m. del 17
de marzo de 2014, queda fijado como la fecha y hora límite para la presentación de
argumentos, que no excedan las trescientas (300) palabras de extensión, a favor o en contra de
la Iniciativa de Ley “N”. Para ser elegible para la impresión y distribución según lo dispuesto por
la ley, tales argumentos deben recibirse y archivarse en la Oficina del Registro Electoral del
Condado de Merced a más tardar en dicha fecha y hora y deberán ir acompañados de una
Declaración de Exactitud, en conformidad con el artículo 9600 del Código Electoral de
California, y estar firmados y fechados por el/los autor(es).
ASIMISMO SE NOTIFICA POR MEDIO DEL PRESENTE que si se presentan un argumento a favor
y un argumento en contra de la iniciativa de ley, se enviarán las copias a los respectivos autores
a fin de que puedan presentar un argumento de refutación que no exceda las doscientas
cincuenta (250) palabras. Los argumentos de refutación deben presentarse a más tardar a las
5:00 p.m. del 27 de marzo de 2014, y también deben ir acompañados de una Declaración de
Exactitud, firmados y fechados por el/los autor(es).
